Maaike van Stratum (stratski) | 115 comments Right. I've spent some time deciding on my challenges for 2019, and I think I have the figured out now. Planning for challenges is so much fun, and I tend to change my plans a lot. But I'm pretty sure these are things I can work with:

✔ 104 books
✔ 52 (or more) written by women (can be co-autors)

✔ 10 (or more) books by POC (western)
✔ 5 (or more) books by Afrikan writers (from at least 3 different countries)
✔ 5 (or more) books by Asian writers (from at least 3 different countries)
✔ 10 (or more) books for the own voices challenge

✔ 15 (or more) books already in my possession on 31/12/2018 > Clearing the shelves challenge
✔ 10 (or more) books I have on my to read shelf

✔ 10 classics pre 1900
✔ 2 classics pre 1700
✔ 2 classics BC
✔ books from 7 different centuries

✔ 5 (or more) very big books > Kind of a Big Deal challenge*
✔ books from 10 (or more) different languages

✔ books by 3 different Nobel prize winners

✔ Genre Bingo: 24
✔ Non ficton growth challenge: 5
Popsugar: 30

*The Kind of a big deal defines a book as big from 500+ pages, but I mean to read some 700+ books. So my final KOABD-challenge will probably be a bit more than 5. Let's go with 8. And probabaly about 15 or 20 small books.
