Q | 2 comments I remember reading a book about ten years ago that I found. I remember looking at the publishing date and from what I can remember it was from around 1945 to the early 1950s. It was bound in brown leather. The story was of a son trying to find his lost father in an Aztec settlement with his father's friend, who I want to say is named Gunther, or something close to it. I also remember there being a ritual with someone being tied to a tree and being sacrificed to Quetzalcoatl and they had to be freed.

Q, is this book for teens (young adults) or older adults?

What is the story's time period?

What is the father's job? What country is he from?

Q | 2 comments I'd say it was for young adults, ages 15-18.

I can't remember the story's time period; I'm sorry. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say the early 1930s? The book was written with a pretty common vernacular though.

If I remember correctly, the father was a researcher or an explorer of some kind. I believe he was there to find some ancient artifact. I don't remember his country of origin, but if I had to hazard another guess, it would be England.
