The target was hidden in the woods by the killer, found by Brandon, Bernie, and Libby in the woods, then removed from the woods by the killer. Sean and Marvin found that out when they went to look for it. (hide spoiler)] This happened for a cookie recipe. I don't like the cookie club members.

Chapters 9-16:
(view spoiler)[Millie's recipe book has been stolen, and Amber is missing. Libby and Bernie are looking for both now. They have talked to Amber's roommates and the yoga studio owner. It appears that she willingly left with a man none of them know the name of. The book is still a total mystery, but Libby and Bernie are going to start talking to the cookie club members again. (view spoiler)[Now Libby and Bernie are peeping into windows, snooping, and breaking in to buildings. They have talked to three of the cookie club ladies, too. It appears that Amber was not abducted but abducted Pearl, one of the cookie ladies. Pearl told the sisters and their father her story. Now Marvin and Sean are trying to find Amber. (hide spoiler)]
