Amaka Nzeadibe HI!!
I'm super excited for this reading challenge, simply because I love reading challenges. I honestly don't know if its the planning part, the reading part or the discussion part that makes a reading challenge so fun!
Anyhoo, lets get to the details!
The Goal is to describe yourself in books.
You can take this in any direction you want. You can use your ideal self, your current self, an event in your life; Honestly, you could be as distant as possible and just use your favorite character.
The point of this challenge is to talk about yourself in the way book lovers know best, by the books they choose!
Their are 7 books to be read, and they're to be chosen from the following categories:
1. A book that describes you( or whatever) best.
2. A book set in your dream destination, real or fictional
3. A book whose main character is your opposite
4. A book from a genre you'd never/rarely read
5. A book in a format you never/rarely read (graphic, prose, plays)
6. A non fiction about your favorite topic
7. A book from your favorite author.
Again, this is meant to be vague so that you can take it in any direction.
There are points, but you can be as lax with this challenge as you please.
Points are assigned as follows. 1 point for every book finished. An extra 7 points if there are no repeats. 1 point for every book that meets the groups guideline. That's a total of 21 points (maybe. I'm one to want to give points willy nilly. Will you do the challenge twice over? one for you and one for your favorite character? that's 50 points! somehow. Add an additional category? That's and extra 10!).
Be competitive if you want! Just comment if you want! Join when ever you want! Lets just have a great time being our little community.
PS. writers can totally use this as place to suggest their own works
Happy Reading!
Start Date: January 01, 2019
End Date: March 31, 2019
