message 10: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 320 comments I actually really liked it! I wasn’t sure I would enjoy this book because I’m not at all a gamer but it was one of those books that I found really easy to get into. I thought it was really creative and exciting. I know I’m really into a book when I have dreams about it lol!

message 11: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 47863 comments That is a great indicator... usually. There was a mention of a ghost in the book I'm reading and a couple nights ago, I dreamt I went up a staircase and a cupboard door at the top swung open on its own. There was a ghost coming down the hallway.

message 12: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 320 comments I think I’d have to sleep with the light on after a dream like that lol!

message 16: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 320 comments I loved it! But when I started reading it I had just finished Ready Player One and going from a book set in the future to a historical fiction was sort of tough so I had wait a couple days then restart it and then I loved it. Sometimes I feel like I need to give my brain a break and reset or something when I finish a book lol. I’m definitely going to read the rest of the series.

message 17: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 47863 comments I gave both of those books 5 stars. It can be tough switching from one book to another.

Cherie (crobins0) | 19745 comments Interesting that I have the fifth book in the series marked TBR and I haven’t even read the first book in the series yet. I know that many of the folks in the group have read the series. I must have added it from a review.

Have you been reading the series, Ashley?

message 48: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 320 comments I have been reading it. I read the first one and was hooked. Have you ever watched the TV series ‘Criminal Minds’? The main character, Matthew Corbett, reminds me of Dr. Spencer Reid if he lived in the 1700s lol. He is really smart and sees clues no one else sees. I’m really enjoying this series.

message 49: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 47863 comments It's one of my favourite series.

message 50: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 320 comments It’s one of my favourites too! I’d definitely read it from the beginning Cherie.
