Help! I read a "fantasy" book YEARS ago ( maybe 20?) that i would like to find. It might have been part of a series. The main characters are a man who is a born son of a wizard/creator and a woman who is one of the creations. She overhears a conversation where the man makes fun of her, and disappears. He tries to find her only to discover she has entered the afterlife. He bargains with the god of the afterlife to split his soul in half so he can bring her back. His search takes him many years and all over the planet. Anyone recognize it?

The idea of sharing/splitting souls between people is used on multiple occasions in Piers Anthony's Xanth series. Maybe it's one of those? (There are lots.)

Have you checked any of the Piers Anthony novels in the Xanth series? It's a good suggestion. There are MANY books in this series.
You can "bump" your thread every month or so. This pushes your thread back to the top of the folder instead of languishing here on page 44 where fewer eyes will see it.
