Cheryl S (cherylsmi) | 16 comments In reading the first chapter I felt saddened, I'm not sure what twists and turns this book will take me through but I feel that in the end there will be tears.

The view of life through a dog's eyes is all at once funny and fascinating. I'm not looking at my cat and wondering if she's trying to talk to me, share her emotions, thoughts, fears.

Enzo's observations throughout the novel provide insight into his worldview. For example:

—"The visible becomes inevitable."
—"Understanding the truth is simple. Allowing oneself to experience it, is often terrifically difficult."
—"No race has ever been won in the first corner; many races have been lost there."

I keep getting stuck on the feeling that his philosophy can apply to real life or am I the only one?
