Charlie Aggie (view spoiler)[ is one of my favourite characters as well. It is such clever writing. Imagine the horror of an eyeball the favourite food for crows and a microwave! Is Vicky wilfully ignorant, or just naive. Not realising until this point that Aggie is a crow. (hide spoiler)]

Human and others (view spoiler)[ It is an interesting stereotype of the way in which some people believe in their own superiority. (hide spoiler)]

20 chapters in now and I'm seriously loving this! I honestly didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as the other books since I adore the residents of the Lakeside Courtyard but to my surprise it's just as great. I'm really enjoying getting to know new characters and I hope there are more books outside of Lakeside in the future. I'd like more set in this town but in others too. I love that Bishop prominently includes a bookstore in her books, and on that I enjoy the names of her shops.

Me too! I love stories about books and bookshops! The names are just brilliant too, people should hire her in real life to name their businesses.

Haha it really was! I'd love to read a book in this series purely from the perspective of a Crow. There's something really childlike and innocent about them but at the same time they can be pretty ruthless and I really enjoy that.

Up to chapter 45. (view spoiler)[ OMG the pony in the fridge. I loved it! I also really loved the part at the lake when Julian pulled his shirt off and showed his scars to help Vicki feel more comfortable about her body. I really hope they become a couple, and I also want to know more about him. And poor Vicki! I want to strangle her ex husband and all those other people who are staying at The Jumble! Up to Chapter 54 (view spoiler)[ Yorik, his new wife and his 'associates' are awful. I really want the others to eat them. I know they're trying to live peacefully with humans but some humans shouldn't be allowed to live. I'm hoping they get what's coming to them. (hide spoiler)]

Finished. (view spoiler)[ I am so disappointed that Yorick didn't get eaten. I was really going to enjoy that. One of the best things about this series is anticipating how the bad guys are going to get eaten. Overall I thought this book was good. I do wish that there had been some development of a romantic type relationship between Vicki and Julian, especially since the next book seems to be set in another town. But maybe it will include parts from Sproing too. (hide spoiler)]

I'm so glad the sproingers turned out to be little monsters, I had a feeling they would! Adorable and deadly is a great combination.
