Nikki Stern | 16 comments I'm trying to follow the discussions but I am confused. I created a new cover for my book THE FORMER ASSASSIN. Nothing else has changed. I plan to announce it over the weekend and on social media. Amazon has kindly begun to swap the book cover. I don't want "two editions" to show on Goodreads, just the same edition with its new cover. How do I do that? Here is the new cover, already up on Amazon (the print book will take a bit longer but the ebook cover is up). Thanks.

Scott | 21363 comments Goodreads does not delete old or out of print editions. I have created a new record for the current cover here:

Nikki Stern | 16 comments So under "my books" the old cover will continue to show up? And I don't see the new cover at all. How odd that is.

message 4: by Nikki (new)

Nikki Stern | 16 comments Scott, when I click on Goodreads from Google, the old cover comes up. Is there ANY solution to this problem besides removing my profile from Goodreads altogether?

Nikki Stern | 16 comments Thanks for your help and attention, Scott or whoever is reading this. I know how slowly metadata changes. I know how caches work. I DON'T know why Goodreads can't help as Amazon does in responding to requests to use the latest book cover. I also realize such details may not seem important-- except to the authors who make changes as advised and in hopes of attracting more readers-- but I suspect others would like to know how to make sure an updated book cover shows up. Otherwise, it's a lot of work for no reason.

Abcdarian | 19906 comments Hi Nikki; sorry your message #3 got missed. Here are all your editions:
And here is how to set the new one as default view:

By the way, removing your profile would not remove the books. :-)
