I know that Persephone is a favourite publisher of many bookworms, myself included! They focus on bringing forgotten works, predominantly by women, back into print.

Which are your favourite Persephone publications? Which of the books would you like to see as a future group read?

Oh, I loved Mariana! Have you read any of Dickens' other books?

Laura Anne (loranne) | 61 comments Read One Pair of Hands in school, 11/12 in 1978/79 - loved it. A very good role guide for young females, recommended by my English teacher.

I really liked those too; again, I read some very old Penguin editions!

I haven’t (just John), but have added her to my list. Thanks Mimi, her books sound delightful!
