Hi everyone,

Welcome to all our new members and I hope you're all doing well. I'm now taking nominations for the January Book of the Month; please add any suggestions here and try to include a link to the book if you're able.

As a reminder, you can see what books have already been read here:

I will take nominations until next Sunday when the poll will go up.

Since there were no other suggestions for January, Encounters with the Archdruid is our default winner! I won't bother with a poll, and will put the book up as our "upcoming read".

Helen Steussy | 7 comments I wanted to see the list of past books read, but when I hit your click I got a message that the page could not be found.

Ray Zimmerman | 640 comments It is a long list. I read the January selection several years ago as I was preparing a profile of John McPhee for a bimonthly column I had in the environmentalist tabloid Hellbender Press (now defunct). I did a profile of a different author for each installment, along with a sidebar with brief comments on selected books. McPhee was particularly challenging because he has a lot of books, and he is still writing.
BTW - Barry Lopez has a new book coming out soon, Horizon. Apparently it is a blockbuster of the magnitude of Arctic Dreams, and of Wolves and Men.
