Meredith Phelps | 1 comments A romance novel set in modern times, not sure if America or Europe. A young woman contacts an escort service recommended to her by a friend for a date, I *think* to a work event? Maybe a reunion? The person she hired ends up asking his older brother to stand in for him on the date, and the older brother does reluctantly. They hit it off, and end up spending the night together. The woman talks to her friend the next morning and the friend confesses that she paid the younger brother for sleeping with her after their scheduled date. The woman in this story offers the older brother money, and he comes clean about the whole situation. They end up going on a series of 'fantasy dates' from a list the woman found in a magazine. I think she took a quiz from the same magazine and it told her she was boring? The woman is either an interior decorator, or maybe a realtor, because she shows an apartment or unit and her new 'boyfriend' comes in a makes a bid. I cant remember if he wins it or not, but he reveals that he owns several rental properties, saving up until he can make a down payment on one and then purchases. It's driving me crazy that I cannot remember how the story concludes. Thanks for any help.

A few guesses:
- Valentine for Hire by Aria Cole?
- The Escort by Ramona Gray?

Meredith, around what year did you read this book? This will help narrow down the search.

What's the tone - romantic, angsty, steamy/clean, funny, etc.?

What's the location - country, region, big city/small town?
