Terris | 2416 comments Nice list! I read Love in the Time of Cholera for the South American Classic. I'm not trying to tell you which one to pick, but The Voyage Out sounds more interesting to me! And I'm not even a big Virginia Woolf fan ;)
I'll be interested to see which you read and your reaction to either one :)

Rachel Stimson (naturalladyuk) | 38 comments I'm leaning towards Woolf myself, having only read To the Lighthouse before and I find her writing captivating. I'll keep you posted :)

Right now though, I am stuck on Proust. It's getting better but still for me very slow going.

Aubrey (korrick) | 2515 comments Another 'The Tale of Genji' attempter! A noble goal, Rachel. I hope it works out for you.

Agreed! I’m also reading The Tale of Genji this year, planning on starting in May since it sadly didn’t win for the second long-read this year.

Happy reading! =D

Rachel Stimson (naturalladyuk) | 38 comments I'll be picking it up as soon as I have shrunk my current reading pile back down. I've got to finish Proust before starting Eugene Onegin and then I will start the Tale of the Genji, which I'm really looking forward to.

I think this needs a concerted effort over the next few months, I am getting distracted with other books.
