I like it. It seems like a perfect example of the methodology she illustrated in the talk https://youtu.be/yAJT_-gpG4U
You can read it before or after the series, it makes a perfect gateway or closure to the whole story.

1. OK, I get having one rocket-launch-euphemism intimacy scene, but FOUR?!?!
2. They mention that to really colonize, they needed both sexes in order to have children. I get that Nathaniel is stoic and all, but he does realize that his wife is hoping to repopulate the human race elsewhere, right? Does he have no intention of joining her in space? Or is he so stoic that he can stifle all jealousy and humanity and be completely excited for his wife to go reproduce with someone else? I'm not saying she needs his permission or anything, but I feel like he should at least express some desire to go with her.
3. I listened to the audiobook. Thought it was pretty funny how she muffled her voice when imitating radio chatter. Also realized how uncomfortable it would make me to be a voice actor and do voices for other demographics other than my own.
4. Still enjoyed the book very much
