1Q84 was first/ also published as 3 separate books, so I counted it as 3 books for my yearly challenge and read 1 each month...
In any case I wish you good luck with your goals & a happy new reading year!

I am really uncomfortable being urged to apply a star rating to poetry.

A new job plus school are really impacting my time and energy for reading. I will be satisfied if I meet my modest goal, and any further books will just add more icing to the proverbial cake. I do have a couple of quite long (1Q84) or quite dense/complex (The Last Samurai) books potentially on the list, which
maywill almost certainly take me multiple months to complete. I am excited to see what the year will bring!Edit: I originally intended to aim for 36 books, but I changed to a more realistic-for-me goal when I realized I'm barely managing 1 book per month with my new job.
