Valerie Tanja wrote: "Woot Valerie! Are you going to read the sequel to Dragon Tattoo?"

Yes! I really liked Lisbeth's character and I can't wait to see what happens next. I've heard good things about it so I think I'll get my hands on this one sooner rather than later.

Valerie 65. The Shining - Stephen King

Very spooky! I would not recommend reading this alone at night, or even the day for that matter.

66. The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane - Katherine Howe

67. Dead and Gone - Charlaine Harris

I can't wait for the next one in the series.

message 14: by Valerie (new)

Valerie I am finally getting back to normal after moving recently to Virginia near DC and I am excited to be able to have some more time for reading again. Here's what I was able to read right before and during our move:

74.Bloodsucking Fiends - Christopher Moore
Funny but i wanted it to be funnier.

75.The Bright Forever A Novel - Lee Martin

76.Wizard's First Rule - Terry Goodkind
I don't usually read fantasy books but gave this a try and ended up pleasantly surprised.

77.Twenties Girl A Novel - Sophie Kinsella
I think Kinsella's book are always great for a quick, fun read and this didn't disappoint.

78.The Thief - Megan Whalen Turner
I really loved the main character in this book.

79.The Divorce Party A Novel - Laura Dave

80.Daughter of the Forest - Juliet Marillier
An easy 5 star read- loved it!

Now I'm off to read some more while the hubby is watching sports!

Valerie You won't regret it! It was sooooo good!

message 29: by Valerie (new)

Valerie 81. Masquerade - Melissa de la Cruz

82. Revelations - Melissa de la Cruz

What can I say, I'm a sucker for vampire books. These aren't the greatest in the world but at least they're quick reads.

83. Life As We Knew It - Susan Beth Pfeffer

This book made me want to get an emergency plan together for my family in case a natural disaster ever affected us.

84. Intertwined - Gena Showalter

85. The Queen of Attolia - Megan Whalen Turner

message 30: by Valerie (new)

Valerie 86. Drums of Autumn - Diana Gabaldon

There's just something about this series that gets me hook, line and sinker. Wishing my husband had a Scottish accent now. :)

message 31: by Valerie (new)

Valerie 87. The Girl Who Played with Fire - Steig Larsson
This one was hard to put down! A really good follow-up to the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

88. Leviathan - Scott Westerfeld

message 32: by Cindy (new)

Cindy (cyndil62) | 1774 comments Glad to see you enjoyed The Girl Who Played With Fire! I still have to read the first one!

message 33: by Valerie (new)

Valerie 89. Graceling - Kristin Cashore
This was a fun read and I enjoyed it a lot.

90. The Van Alen Legacy - Melissa de la Cruz
This was a waste of time, in my opinion.

91. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society - Mary Ann Shaffer
I really loved this one from the moment I started it. It was such an enchanting story!

message 34: by Usako (new)

Usako (bbmeltdown) | 654 comments Almost there Valerie!! 9 more to go!! Are you going to make it for the year?

I'm glad you enjoyed Guernsey! I was surprised at how much I liked the book. I do like how it was structured in letter format.

I have Graceling on my TBR. Been hearing good things about it!

message 35: by Valerie (new)

Valerie 92. If I Stay - Gayle Forman
I got quite weepy through this one. I'd definitely recommend it.

93. A Touch of Dead - Charlaine Harris
Fun but I'm glad I didn't shell out money for this book.

94. The Lace Makers of Glenmara - Heather Barbieri

95. Ice- Sarah Beth Durst
Slightly odd and I didn't connect with this one.

96. Moonlight - Rachel Hawthorne
Meh. This was a waste of time.

97. Hush, Hush - Becca Fitzpatrick
I've seen a lot of hype around this book and I liked it but it didn't blow my socks off.

98. Fade - Lisa McMann
A really fresh YA series- no vampires, werewolves or fairies involved!

99. Shadowland - Alyson Noel

100. Son of the Shadows- Juliet Marillier
A great follow-up to Daughter of the Forest! Really enjoyed it.

I just barely made my goal of 100 with about a day to spare! Phew! Now I'm ready to begin the new year and find some great new books.

Graceling was really interesting and I plan on picking up her other book, Fire, soon.

Here's the hoping that the New Year brings you lots of great reads!
