I have an older generation Fire that I use for color books (comics, cookbooks, etc.), but I mainly use my Paperwhite 3. It works fine, but I definitely was in the mood for another e-reader and Waterproof is my #1 feature since I'm such a huge bathtub reader.
I think I am odd-man-out because I have a NOOK and the Kindle App. I've never used a Kindle and don't think I'd be able to switch over very easily because I've been a NOOK owner for 5-6 years now. I feel like the Kindle would be so much smaller but definitely lighter. I'm not sure I'd like the smaller size of it. I'm loving Crazy Rich Asians!
I still have to start that book, Vicki. I know it officially started today. Good to hear it's good, you never know.
I had a nook and thought my mom was crazy when she bought me a kindle for christmas. I love it and I dont think i will ever go back to a nook. But everyone likes different things!
Erin, I hope you like it too. I’m pacing myself so I can answer the questions as they’re posted. Jessi, I think I’ll try a Kindle next time. I’m just concerned about learning how to use yet another device! I haven’t bought a book through B&N for a long time though! Lol
Tomorrow the newest book in the Hidden Legacy Series by Ilona Andrews is coming out - from the POV Of the sister Catalina - it's only 188 so it's technically an in between novella. I didn't even realize this until today, what a nice surprise. Will have to add it in tomorrow since it's a top favorite series I've basically been waiting for this book....forever. It really feels like it's been that long sometimes. 🙄

glad you have it now!
Erin, I finished Candy Corn Murder But I’m on the road so can you please add my finish date? 11/05 and I made sure it was on my shelf plus I had the bonus “in text.” Do I need to post what it says and the location? Or can I get on the review page from here? Or do we have to add a review? Lol Can’t remember one challenge from another.
Erin,I finished Candy Corn Murder today. I see it is on the SS but I realized I hadn’t put it on my wheel a thon shelf. I did that now in case you needed it! Thanks.
Teri wrote: "I only have to work 3 hours tomorrow guys!!!so I should have 2 done by tomorrow!"
Yay Teri, you have been rocking already this week! I have my offline book club tomorrow, just finished that book tonight and added to the spreadsheet. I have to work tomorrow, but will sneak in reading during downtime.

I'm a big series fan, they're my favorites, but the waiting in between is definitely a downfall. Thankfully Ilona Andrews writes pretty quickly.

Thanks, Carrie!

Once we finish our first R Book, our first word will be completed =)
UpdateBooks completed so far this week: 12
Words completed: 1 book away from completing first word
Bonuses Completed: 2 out of 4, all 4 claimed
I was able to get on a computer, so I posted my book. I don't see that my bonus "in text" was submitted because it isn't highlighted but neither are any of the others. I did do that one already.

Sorry, forgot to highlight on the spreadsheet, but I did put yours on the official spreadsheet so we're all good.We have finished our first full spelling as of this morning and earned the 15 bonus points for the week for getting the first word spelled. :)
We are currently at 410 points for week 2 already, amazing start.I'm planning to start a few new short books now, including my bonus book Trick or Treat, the new Ilona Andrews book, and Crazy Rich Asians.

One of the books I just finished has a character in there named Ms. Delamino. However a first name is never mentioned. Can I use it for D or no?
Michelle wrote: "One of the books I just finished has a character in there named Ms. Delamino. However a first name is never mentioned. Can I use it for D or no?"Yes, last names also count so this will be fine.
I'm here! I FINALLY finished a book. Sorry team, it's been a struggle. Hopefully I can contribute a bit more - you all are doing awesome!
Well - this is pathetic. At least it was 672 pages. I should be able to finish my second book by this weekend. Thanks for having patience!

Woot! Woot!
Thanks Colleen, I updated your book on the spreadsheet - nice dose of points for us.Nice, Cecily - you're really rocking it this week too!
I just finished my CandyCorn 50 point challenge. The book was surprisingly good for a KU m/m romance, and while the page count was only 5 points, the bonus 50 points definitely helps.

Oh. My. Gosh. I hope you love Crazy Rich Asians as much as I did.
410 is amazing!
We are now #7 and 580 for the week! Keep working hard, team! I plan to ramp up the reading since I've only finished 2 and am a bit behind on my plans. Off to bed for now, work tomorrow, but will check in on the thread tomorrow. Thanks for all the hard
As of just now we've moved up to #6 and we're only 25 points away from Zero who is in 5th! I think we can surpass them! I'll have a book finished today and MAYBE 2.We are no longer 6th. Zero jumped way up today! But I still have faith we'll do it this week. :)
I'm reading, I promise! I should have my first book done tomorrow -- I just read all of them at the same time, so they end up all getting done at the end of the week. :) Question on the BOM points -- does it just have to be sometime this month, or do we have to do it in the week the thread and questions are active? I'm up to 288 on the waitlist for Crazy Rich Asians, but I'm thinking of just buying it... I can read it next week or the week after, correct?

Oh my gosh! That's crazy! But 288 out of how many books circulating? My daughter put a book on hold (not this one) and is 835 on the list, but I believe she said there are over 200 books circulating. Crazy!!!
I won't try to answer your question lest I am wrong. LOL

Yes, you just have to read it this month. If you start it this week, but finish it another week, as long as it's done by the last day of November it counts. It just has to count for the week it's finished :)
I rearranged some book letters on second and third word (both not complete) to fill out the second word spelling more. All of your books are on the spreadsheet still, they just may have been moved a bit for different letter fits. Right now points only count for one incomplete word so it's better to fill up as soon as we can. Right now we just need an O to complete the second spelling of "Candycorn". I should finish my novella tonight and will see if there are O's in there.

Vicki, they say there are 120 copies circulating. I don't think I'll make it by the end of the month. :(
I really don't see why Publishers charge so much for certain e-books either. 9.99 isnt' the worst I've seen by far but it's still rather high.
