Ha yes, have to love the names of their products. The Pumpkin Cheesecake is brown and white soap, very pretty. I used the "werewolf" bath bomb but it colored the tub a little so had to clean it. I did get to bathe in purple water for a change though. Only at Halloween :D

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 6626 comments Jessi wrote: "Nothing dorky about that! I would so the same but I'm afraid my clutzy butt would drop my kindle in the bath!."

My copy of the book is a book ---- I have pre-ordered the new Paperwhite 4. So happy to hear they made that waterproof for my bath book journeys, especially since it's started to getting cooler outside.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 6626 comments Points Update - 10/28

We have just submitted our first full spelling of the word 'Crow'. Once we have a W complete, we will have two words done. We have the 15 bonus completion points for the spell it out and 2 bonus words done (Crow on cover as an item and Word iext). Excellent first full day, all!

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 6626 comments This bonus is very hard - haven't found a book that I can access that fits it yet. Word as Genre on 1st full page: Crow

Not many books tagged as crow, especially on the first page :/

message 156: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jazzykitty) | 1644 comments I wish we could do the word Raven since the book I just finished has raven tagged on the first page. You're right though its so hard to find crow.

message 157: by Teri (new)

Teri | 678 comments Agreed. I was looking like from the Crow but it was either really short stories or geaphic novels. I’m gonna look and see if there are more spiritual/folktale/legends when i get off work but yeah, its hard for sure. There are definitely more “raven” tags

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 6626 comments Yes, and I'm seeing plenty of just "bird". Sighs.

I found a few books that fit but they're not possible for me to get my hands on.

Natasha | 1149 comments Had a rather busy weekend and hadn't started a book yet. I'm going to start reading The One-Week Job Project: One Man, One Year, 52 Jobs today.

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 2373 comments Erin or anyone who does have any books that fit “crow as genre” could you list them? Even if you cannot get a hold of the books, maybe I or someone else can.

Thank you, O's are always needed :)

I will look through it again later and put some that I found. Wish we got a substitute word, I think Crow is one of the hardest by far to find. Will make a small list

message 164: by Teri (new)

Teri | 678 comments I've got my next 3-4 figured out. Two Os and a W, possibly an R as well, I don't know. I have two back to back soccer games tomorrow after work, so I don't know if I'll be around, but I'll definitely be reading! Hope you guys have a great Tuesday! If I'm able to grab any of the main page Crow books, I will!

message 165: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1332 comments I will have The Witch Elm finished by tomorrow because it has to go back to the library. It got such great reviews but I am struggling so much with it. I am finding it incredibly boring.
I'm going to look at the spreadsheet but I think I might read Ohio next if O's are still needed.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 6626 comments Yeah, boring books are the pits. Sorry you're struggling with that one, hope it picks up.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 6626 comments Good news - looks like I have been chosen to do Daily Questions for both of Novembers's BOMs.

Super and thank you!!!

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 6626 comments Jessi wrote: "Also Rainbow Crow by David Bouchard is too short at only 32 pages"

You're right, I didn't notice the page count.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 6626 comments Good news everyone -- it looks like the mods are allowing us to use the word "Raven" as a tag instead of "Crow".Hopefully this makes things easier.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 6626 comments Looks like Goodreads put out the 2018 Awards. I go between having fun with that, to being annoyed. Anyone else vote in it? I haven't read most of the books in the categories this year.

It looks like Vicki may have grabbed the slot for bonus. Or is in the process of doing so. You two may want to coordinate also if one wants a book over the other. We don't have to get to a full out book brawl or anything, but I'm sure we'll figure it out :0)

message 181: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 2373 comments Jessi, I am perfectly happy giving up my bonus spot if you're already in the middle of reading a book with RAVEN and they're allowing it. Can we use both of the books for the genre bonus or only one? If only one, I don't mind if you take it. I haven't even begun my book yet but was going to so I could help the team.

message 182: by Vicki (last edited Oct 30, 2018 11:54AM) (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 2373 comments Our 2nd week's word is CANDYCORN so we have a lot more options this time around but we'll need to read more books to cover the word one time. LOL I'm ready though!

In fact, if Jessi can do our bonus genre this week, I'll move my book and read it for week 2 instead.

Double checking: which day/time (zone too) do we have to check-in our reading for week 1?

message 183: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jazzykitty) | 1644 comments Vicki I can absolutely do this weeks genre book!

I haven't placed my votes yet but I noticed there are books on there that haven't been officially released in the US yet.

Okay, I was going to "take one for the team" but I'll save it for next time. :) I removed it for you so you can add your book.

It is just one bonus each week.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 6626 comments Carrie wrote: "I haven't placed my votes yet but I noticed there are books on there that haven't been officially released in the US yet. ."

They complain about Goodreads allowing that every year in the feedback group. Sometimes books arent even released anywhere yet, so annoying.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 6626 comments Vicki wrote: "Double checking: which day/time (zone too) do we have to check-in our reading for week 1? "

We have to be done Saturday. Me or Teri have to submit it on Saturday by 5 pm EST time to mods group, so all books have to be added before that. By 3 pm EST on Saturday would be preferable just to make sure me or Teri can have it all submitted and doublechecked.

Do you mean only one genre bonus or only one bonus period? Because I thought you already submitted two.

Also I'll be gone next week from Monday through Friday and possibly through the following Monday (so Nov. 5-9 or 5-12, depending). So I might need to be asking for someone to post my books for me on the SS.

Colleen | 238 comments Ugh! I am not reading very fast lately. I hope it’s no big deal, but let me know. I’m feeling very guilty that I may not be able to contribute much! I still average about 5 books per month so feel like I should be okay but I just don’t know.

Great to hear, Anna. I'm finishing up some horror books that won't count for the challenge for the most part, only have till tomorrow night to finish, for another challenge. Then I'm off to finish the others I have marked for this one. Definitely a fun reading week.

We can fill all four bonuses, but only once per each bonus per week.

That's fine on the spreadsheet, just let me know.

That's fine Colleen, they ask for you to finish one book per week, but you don't have to go beyond that if you're not able to.
