G.J. (buch-wurm) Has anyone started on this smashing book yet ?

Beth Stewart | 644 comments I am just finishing the Value Read and then will start this one. Good choice, is it, G. J.?

I think so Beth !

G.J. (buch-wurm) Anyone got any thoughts on Luc ?

Tina Culbertson (tinaculbertson) I have it, starting it soon. My husband says he likes the sound of it & we will read together. Yea! Book club at home

Beth Stewart | 644 comments I am opening to page one .....

Beth Stewart | 644 comments Chapter 18 and I am enjoying this one. I like the "underwear-model" type detective, Luc. Has to jump right in to a case in a new job, new country where he has conflicts with his team who will require time to accept the outsider.

G.J. (buch-wurm) I think Helen Fields has created a very interesting cop here Beth :-)

Beth Stewart | 644 comments I agree, G.J,

Erunyauve | 167 comments I'm about halfway through, it's quite immersive - all of the characters are interesting, and while we know who the killer is, the jigsaw puzzle Callanach has to put together to get to him is fascinating to watch.

Beth Stewart | 644 comments This was a great book! I liked the characters and it was an interesting plot with lots of twists and a fly-in-the-ointment for the team! I give this one 5--stars

Have already downloaded the second book in the series.

Great Beth ! I have not been able to read much these last two weeks, so am a bit behind, am really glad you are enjoying this series, I loved the first and bought the others ready to read, so good when you find a new author/ series !!

Tina Culbertson (tinaculbertson) I purchased the main read, Perfect Remains, and haven't started it yet. My husband and I planned to read it together but alas, we had to evacuate for Hurricane Michael here in Florida. I was so stressed that I couldn't read and had also left my Kindle behind. :-(

Hoping to get to this before the end of the month as it sounds great. Library just let me know the latest Tana French was in for me. Decisions! #NeverEnoughTime

AngryGreyCat (angrygreycatreads) | 554 comments Just finished this last night. Very immersive read with an interesting protagonist. It was interesting that you knew who the culprit was and then had to watch him interact with others and watch Luc put the pieces together.

G.J. (buch-wurm) I am pleased everyone seems to have enjoyed it as much as I did !

Mary C | 172 comments I just finished it and I agree that this was an engrossing read. It took a bit for me to get past the initial kidnapping but then I got into in it and glad I persevered. I liked the police characters, even DS Lively (he served his purpose well), and will definitely read more of the series. Glad you suggested this GJ.
