She sat up with a grunt, took his face in her hands and kissed him deeply.
He kissed her back then broke the kiss and reached for her plate.
She whined and laid back down with a sigh,
He took the plates down to the wash basin.
She rolled out of bed and followed him downstairs without putting her robe on.
He turned to see her following him "Where do you think you are going?"
She shrugged and hugged him from behind which was difficult because of her belly.
He stooped and slowly turned around.
She wrapped her arms around his waist and smiled up at him.
"I just love you is all." She smiled.
She nuzzled her face into the crook of neck and inhaled his masculine scent.
He smiled and then moved to go do the dishes.
He went to the wash basin outside and cleaned the dishes.
She went back upstairs to their room.
He came back in the house and put the dishes up and then went back out to work on some corrals.
Lucy changed and began to tidy up their bedroom, making the bed and taking the dirty clothes downstairs.
He worked out on the little farm until his stomach growled.
Lucy took the dirty clothes out to the water basin and began doing the laundry.
He walked toward the house for lunch.
She hung up the wet clothes on the clothing line and folded the clean clothes into a basket.
He saw her and.walked to her. "I thought you were resting. "
She picked up the basket. "I wasn't."
He nodded " okay" he sighed " you hungry "?
She shrugged and took the basket inside. "Not really."
He nodded and went to the kitchen and made him some lunch.
She took the clothes upstairs but stopped halfway on the stairs and gasped, dropped the basket and held her belly. She clenched her eyes shut and whimpered.
He sat at the table eating his lunch.
She collapsed onto her knees with a loud bang and gritted her teeth. Something didn't feel right. "J-Jeff." She stuttered.
He heard her and ran up the stairs. "Whats the matter?"
"I don't know. But it hurts." She whimpered.
He lifted her up and carried her to the bed.
She held onto him tightly and began to breath heavily.
She nodded and curled up into a ball. "Please hurry."
He ran out of the house and mounted the fastest horse bareback and took off for town.
Lucy groaned in pain into her pillow and gripped the sheets. Her other hand gripped the fabric over her tummy.
Soon he returned the doctor close behind him.
She doctor rushed into the room and moved lucy into her back and felt her tummy. "I'll need to examine her." He said as he began to pull up Lucy's skirt.
Jeff wrung his hands and stood by to help.
