I was hoping that this would lead to a interesting word post. Say your favorite word or one that you recently learned. PERHAPS I WAS WRONG!

message 3: by Molly (new)

Molly | 3 comments tag-pertaining to copper.

Now my word is uxorious.

with luck sir, she is my uxor.

The W | 27 comments Mod
I didn't know this word. Learned it now. Essentially pussyboy wants a pussy pancake... or submissive to wife.

message 5: by Molly (new)

Molly | 3 comments Ok now try

leachate

message 6: by Beth (new)

Beth | 6 comments blepharospasm.

Medical terminology is fun. ;)

message 7: by The W (new)

The W | 27 comments Mod
Alrighty, medical terminology is a bitch. Not fair. I was kinda hoping that it would be a word you read in a currently reading book. Doesn't happen much (or i don't catch them).

Never heard of leachate or blepharospasm. So I will guess.

Leachate : Leach excrement or some sort of leach like device or chemical. All I got.

Blepharospasm: uncontrollable belching. Blepharo is a word i know not.

message 8: by Mandi (new)

Mandi | 1 comments As far as favorite words go

Favorite curse word: fuckwit....although I do not use it very much

Favorite other word: discombobulate

message 9: by Ryan (new)

Ryan (rho_) | 7 comments Wow "fuckwit" is quite good. It has a nice feeling to it when said.

Fuckwit - Bridget Jones Diary word

Fucktard flows well to me. Dunno why but it cracks me up.

message 11: by Beth (new)

Beth | 6 comments blepharo= eyelid

so it's when your eyelid twitches. It just happened to be the only odd word in my head that day. I'll try to think of a better one. Yes, fuckwit is good word.

message 12: by Beth (new)

Beth | 6 comments Ok, I got one: I haven't looked it up yet, so I'll post my guess.

Moraine.

Sentence: "The glacial moraine in this region was rolling but unforested."

I'm not sure I even have a guess. First, I was thinking the word moreno means dark in spanish, so maybe it means darkness? Now, I'm thinking it might be a word related to terrain.

message 13: by Dianna (new)

Dianna (diannamorganti) | 8 comments My new favorite word is 'ort'. It was a 'word of the day' a few weeks ago.

message 14: by Molly (new)

Molly | 3 comments i think you are correct about moraine, like terrain caused by glaciers. I will guess on ort, does it mean a type of something?

My word is oenomancy.

message 15: by Beth (new)

Beth | 6 comments oeno= wine

mancy= magic, I think.

potion-making?

I don't even have a guess on Ort. I'm going to go look it up. And you're right about moraine.

message 16: by Beth (new)

Beth | 6 comments oh yeah. actually, moraine= rocks, boulders and soil deposits at the base of a glacier

message 17: by Dianna (new)

Dianna (diannamorganti) | 8 comments oenomancy - turning water into wine?

message 18: by The W (new)

The W | 27 comments Mod
oenomancy - creating evil dead wine from the depths of hell to destroy all good.

Well done on the copper, Allison Blaire. I read it and did not grasp it. Looking it up made it a duh but still. :)

Now, Mrs. Morganti, ANTITRANSUBSTANTIATIONALIST being in all caps, I must assume is a very loud/angry person who is also against the belief of the bread and wine of the Church being converted to the actual body and blood of Christ during the Eucharist during the mass. Yea! Catholic school pays off again!

Side note/discussion:

Catholic are the only true Christians. We were just called Christians for so long. Rest are offshoots like a mutant arm. :) HA. sorry. Trying to get a response. I don't think many of you will care. This is now the longest post.
