"That's not dumb." he smiled a bit and shook his head. "I get it." He missed a lot of the simple things as well. It was the simple things that made him the happiest sometimes. "I use to draw, you're right there isn't time for that stuff anymore."

Avalon shrugged. “I mean there could be time for it. We just all put more important things first lately..” she said faintly. “I miss reading the most. I would read anything and everything, all the time..”
"Me too." He smiled a bit wider. "I actually found a book awhile back, I kept it but I haven't gotten a chance to read it." He looked over to her. "Maybe you can borrow it when you get a chance to....relax?"
Avalon glanced at him, a bit surprised. “Umm. Maybe. If I ever get the chance... thank you..” she said softly, looking back away from him.
"I use to have a place where I would just go and read back home." He said thoughtfully. "I would sit for hours and just get lost in it. "I almost got into trouble one time for it when I was younger. "Didn't get back home until after dark."
Avalon nodded. “I had a hideout like that too. Avature and my dad had built a treehouse a while back when I was really young. When avature stopped using it, I made it into my own little nook.” She commented, smiling faintly at how similar they were about some stuff.
"Mine was sort of just a clubhouse." He said shrugging a bit. "It was an old shack, but I fixed it up a bit and made it my own. "I did always want a tree house though, but I was okay with my little hideout."
Avalon nodded slightly. “Maybe someday you can build a treehouse. You never know..” she commented faintly. It was probably s bit too optimistic but you never really knew what was gonna happen in life, especially now.
"I don't think they can really climb." He smiled as he thought of building a tree house up away from the Zombies. Of course he would have to come down to get food or other things, but he wouldn't have to worry about getting eaten in his sleep.
“I dunno really. Maybe we should test that.” Avalon commented, immediately starting to brainstorm it. If they knew more about the zombies, they’d be better set up to handle them. “If they can’t, then we should all just live in tree houses. Just move to like s huge forest and make a treehouse network. That’d be cool.”
"It would be pretty cool." He pictured it in his head, a whole settlement of people just living in trees away from the threat below. They could even grow there own food and get there own water if they set everything up right.
Avalon thought about it for a little longer. “Maybe that’s something we really should look in to..” she said softly. “The crowns of trees could hide us from being seen from the sky. Same with branches down below, depending on the trees of course.” She thought aloud as they walked.
"We'll have to figure out how to go about doing it." He nodded thoughtfully. "Find a Zombie to test it on and get him to follow us, see what happens from there."
"We'd have to find a good spot for it." He bit his lip thoughtfully. "Can't have it yelling and getting more to come out."
Avalon nodded slightly. “That’ll be tough... it’s hard to get them isolated. Unless we like captured one and took it somewhere else.” She thought aloud.
"What?" He looked over to her. "Capture one? "Have you done that before?" He couldn't imagine that it was easy to do that, it would be difficult to just grab one and go without others inevitably following.
Avalon shook her head. “No. I haven’t tried.” She answered quietly. “It’ll probably be pretty difficult.” She shrugged and kept walking. She kept thinking, trying to figure out an idea that would reasonably work.
He honestly couldn't think of another option, but it would be dangerous, and it would put whoever was involved in helping in danger. It was still one that they needed but, maybe they didn't need to go as far as capturing it.
Avalon shrugged. “We can both just brainstorm a bit more. I’m sure between us that we can figure out some sort of test.” She assured softly.
"I think we would need more people to help anyway." He said thoughtfully. "If we lure one away somehow, we can have the others keep an eye out in case it calls more out. "Then we can focus on getting it to where we want it to go."
Avalon nodded slightly. “Yeah. Of course..” she agreed softly. “That would work. We just need a decent lure and way to test it..” she agreed softly.
"The best bait would be human." He said thoughtfully. "But that would be way more dangerous." He paused for a moment. "But...I think it would be the best way to do it. "And I will gladly volunteer for it."
Avalon nodded, listening to him. “I doubt Olivia would approve of that. She just got you back after all...” she commented softly, looking at him before looking away again. She reached and grabbed her water out of her bag.
"I'm sure I could convince her of it." He said with a sigh, as if suddenly remembering of his sisters status. Though he knew now it would make things difficult, knowing how she was. "Besides, I'm still new here. "She probably wouldn't want to risk anyone else."
Avalon shrugged. “That just goes against how we try to run things here. We don’t have just one person taking all the risks..” she said softly. “Most of the time at least..”
"If I do it, no else has to be put at risk." He told her. "You wouldn't have to be putting others at risk, because I'm willing to do it." He sighed and shook his head. "Even if something happened to me, you'd still learn something from it."
Avalon nodded as she listened to him. “We’ll see what Olivia says once we see her.” She decided softly, not willing to just let London risk himself if they could figure out some way to avoid it.
He knew the argument that would happen once they asked about it, but he would find away to win this one. Even if she was leader now she was still his sister, and even though she had changed he still thought he knew her pretty well. At least he hoped so.
Avalon kept quiet for a few, thinking through his idea and all the work that would accompany it. She was already designing it all in her head, brainstorming what to do and what could go wrong.
They walked for awhile, talking occasionally and of course he was doing his very best to be much more alert. After awhile he looked up over the horizon, it was getting pretty late in the afternoon. The wind was blowing a bit, bringing a slight cold air with it.
Avalon talked some with him but mainly just kept quiet. There wasn’t much more to say, her mind elsewhere currently. “We should start heading back soon..” she commented eventually.
"Right." He nodded, pulling his hood over his head and zipping up his jacket. He was pretty use to cold nights, having slept outside a lot, but it still got to him sometimes. He was just glad he didn't have to sleep outside anymore.
Avalon kept walking with him. She turned down a different street and led him back toward the base. “I’m not ready for winter..” she said softly.
"I'm never ready for it." He said shaking his head. "I get cold way to easily." He said shivering slightly as if to confirm his own words.
Avalon nodded. “Yeah. It does get pretty cold out here..” she agreed. “Maybe it won’t be too bad this year..”
"Hopefully." He said thoughtfully, he hoped it also didn't mean more Zombies to deal with. When it was really hot it pretty much kept them away, but the cold usually was easier for them to live in.
Avalon nodded slightly. “We won’t have quite as many patrols then either..” she told him softly, shrugging slightly. She kept walking, looking around as they started getting close again.
"That's probably good." He nodded his head. "Don't want people getting sick from the cold. "Plus just the cold in general." He thought for a moment. "So how do you guys keep warm inside? "Do you have some sort of heater or something?"
Avalon nodded slightly. “We’ve built some fireplaces in a lot of areas. Some of the buildings have working heating systems as long as we can power it.” She explained.
"Oh, good." He nodded his head with a small smile, then he wouldn't have to worry to much about the cold. It would probably still be a bit nippy, but at least he wouldn't be freezing.
Avalon nodded slightly. “Yeah. We’ve been here a while so we’ve tried to set everything up pretty well..” she explained softly.
He looked over to the building as they neared it, seeing the sun just going down. It was beautiful, but he couldn't really enjoy it now. Seeing as how it was usually more dangerous after dark.
"Lets get inside." He said quietly.
"Lets get inside." He said quietly.
Avalon nodded slightly. She headed to the police building with him, pulling the door open and holding it for him so he could go in first.
London walked inside, glad once he was since it made the bit of cold outside go away. He pulled his hood down, and glanced around. Everyone was going about there business, but some stopped to look at him before quickly looking away.
Avalon followed him inside. She noticed the people and rolled her eyes. “Shale probably is back and been blabbing.” She guessed quietly
"That's just what I need." He said with a sigh. "People thinking I need saving every five minutes." He blew out a breath and ran a hand through his hair.
Avalon rolled her eyes. “You can be a hero tomorrow. I’ll do something stupid and you can save me or something.” She said softly.
He sighed and shook his head.
"It's fine." He said. "Next time I see Shale, i'll talk to him." He wasn't sure what he would say, but he was determined to get him off his back.
