"If you don't mind me going with you." He staring up at the ceiling. "I promise I wont slow you down." He still felt he needed to show that he wasn't someone that constantly needed to saved. The other day he felt had only been a fluke, he had made a stupid mistake. But he wasn't going to do that again.

“I don’t mind.” Avalon assured. “And don’t worry about slowing me down or anything. You won’t affect me that much.” She shrugged slightly and closed her eyes.
He glanced over to her as she said that, sighing quietly to himself as he turned back to staring at the ceiling. He couldn't help but think back to before the world went down, and how everything seemed so much easier.
“What’s going through your mind? You seem a bit off..@ she said softly, listening to him. Avalon kept her eyes closed, not planning on sleeping, just relaxing for a bit.
"Before all this happened." He said not moving from his spot as he started up still. "The day of actually, we were at an amusement park, just not caring about anything. "Not thinking that anything bad could even happen."
Avalon nodded slightly. “And then the world practically ended..” she commented faintly, biting her lip. She opened her eyes and glanced at him.
"Yeah." He nodded slowly. "And we tried to run through a panicking crowd, that split us apart. "I tried to head back home, hoping any of them were there but....there was no one."
Avalon nodded slightly. “That sounds like it was terrifying..” she commented faintly. She glanced over at him.
He scoffed softly at himself shaking his head.
"Sorry I don't mean to sound like I'm whining and complaining." He took in a deep breath. "I survived, and Olivia's okay. "That's all I can really hope for."

“You don’t sound whiny or anything.” Avalon assured. “You’re just talking about what happened where you were.” She shrugged slightly st him. She didn’t answer his last comment.
"Then...if you don't mind me asking." He turned over on his side to look at her. "Where were you when....everything happened?" He was curious, but he also didn't want to make her think she had to answer.
Avalon shrugged. “I was at school. Doing some random college class that I can’t even remember. Avature showed up to my class and told me we needed to go.. I had no clue what was going on then. We just went. Packed up the essentials and got out of the city..” she answered softly.
"That's good you got out before hand." He nodded flipping back over on his back. "I guess it doesn't matter anymore. "Nothing to do about the past. "We can only help what we do about now and the future."
“I probably wouldn’t have without avature though. I was pretty clueless to all this at first.” Avalon admitted with a shrug. “True. But our past is what even got us here in the first place..”
"You're right." He nodded his head. "Can't fully forget the past, but we can't let it rule over us either. "We learn from our mistakes and make things better." He smiled a bit. "I think that's how we get by."
Avalon nodded. “Something like that..” she agreed softly. She yawned softly and stretched, glancing at him. “Whats one thing that you miss?” She asked curiously.
He thought for a moment, thinking about the things he couldn't do anymore.
"We use to live by a little river behind our house." He said thoughtfully. "During the summers we would practically live in there." He paused for a moment. "But at night I would go out by myself just to have some alone time, and clear my head."

Avalon smiled faintly and nodded. “That sounds nice.” She Agreed softly. She ran a hand through her hair. “How far away is home?”
"Uh..." He shook his head after a moment. "I honestly don't even remember, I've been walking on the run for so long. "I guess I kind of just lost track."
Avalon nodded slightly. “Well. What was your hometown?” She asked softly, trying to gauge how far he’d been on his own
"Huntsville..." He said without hesitation. "It....was a pretty small town." He couldn't help but remember how nice it was before it all. And now it was a ghost town, besides the zombies roaming around the place.
Avalon nodded slightly. “Alright. So s pretty long ways...” she commented faintly. She shrugged at him and yawned softly.
He had guessed as much, he hadn't thought to keep track. But it didn't really matter if there really wasn't a place to go back to. He shook it off, and closed his eyes.
"I'm going to try and rest..." He said after a moment, turning on his side away from her. "Need some energy before the patrol."
"I'm going to try and rest..." He said after a moment, turning on his side away from her. "Need some energy before the patrol."
Avalon nodded slightly. She turned back onto her back and looked up at the ceiling, falling quiet so he could get some rest.
He stared at the wall for a moment, before his eyes slowly closed. Thankfully for him he didn't have any bad dreams, which was normal for him. But now he really didn't dream of anything.
Avalon stayed quiet and let him sleep for a while. She tried to go back to sleep but wasn’t able to so she stayed up till it finally got light out. She got up and quietly got ready for the day.
London woke up once the sun started to hit his face, he blinked his eyes open. He lay there for a second before he pushed himself up and stretched himself out before pushing himself out of bed.
Avalon was up and nearly ready to go, quietly braiding her hair and tying it back. She slipped on her boots and stood, not noticing that he was up.
"Guess it's time to go." He said yawning as he stepping into his boots and tied them up. He then grabbed his bag and slung it over his shoulders. Making sure his knife was in place in his boot before, pulling the Machete up from his bag for a bit easier access.
“You’ve got time..” Avalon assured softly. “I just typically head out early..” she explained, making sure she had everything. She paused and waited for him.
He nodded and made sure he was all set, making sure he was ready for anything. He situated his bag on his shoulder, and made sure everything was in place before he nodded again.
"Alright." He said after a few moments. "I'm ready."
"Alright." He said after a few moments. "I'm ready."
Avalon nodded slightly. “Want some breakfast or do you just want to go and get out there?” She asked softly, walking to the door. She let herself out of the room and waited for him.
He followed her out of the room and thought for a moment.
"I suppose something quick would be fine." He said thoughtfully. He did just want to go out and get to it, but he realized he was a bit hungry also.

Avalon nodded slightly. “We can always grab food and take it with us.” She offered to him. She headed downstairs and outside, looking around.
Following her out he glanced around, it was pretty quiet. He wasn't really use to that. Normally to quiet wasn't good, but here it was a good thing.
Avalon waited for him and headed back across the street to the police station so they could grab something to eat before starting their patrols together. She stayed quiet while they were outside.
He followed her in, though his mind started to drift a bit.
"You know it's sort of weird." He said as they got there. "You know how everything can just suddenly change." He shook his head as he realized he was thinking out loud. "But this time I think it was for the better, at least so far it is."

Avalon glanced at him and nodded slightly. “that’s life in general. Always changing.” She Agreed softly. “But I hope it’s for the better, at least in this case.” She shrugged st him.
He smiled as they got there, looking over the food he grabbed two pieces of fruit, putting the other in his pocket so he could have a free hand. He took a bite of the other, it had been awhile since he had any type of fruit.
Avalon grabbed an apple and a couple protein bars, ticking them in her pocket. She took a bite of the apple, glancing over at London. “We took over some abandoned farms and orchards outside of the cities. That’s why food isn’t so scarce..” she explained to him.
"That's amazing." He said after swallowing the bite he took. "It's...so fresh." He looked over to her and nodded. "I'm ready whenever you are." He smiled as he took another bite of it.
Avalon smiled and nodded. “Alright. We can head out in a minute then. Do you have a water bottle with your?” She asked, grabbing hers from her bag to go fill it up.
"Oh, yeah I do." He pulled his bag off for a moment and rummaged through before pulling out his very worn looking water bottle. "Right here." He put his bag back over his shoulders, and followed her to fill it up.
Avalon nodded. She filled up her water bottle and moved aside so he could do the same. She tightened the lid and tucked it back in her bag.
He filled his bottle a bit at first, drinking a bit of it before filling it the rest of the way. After he was done and closed it up and put it back into his bag.
Avalon smiled faintly at him. She headed to the door once he seemed ready. She headed outside and started walking with him.
London followed her back outside, and followed next to her. As usual he kept his eyes and ears peeled. The farther they would go, he knew the more he would have to keep alert.
Avalon quietly ate her apple as they walked together. “Feel free to ask anything or whatever. We can talk, just should keep quiet about it...” she said softly, glancing at him.
"Well I was sort of wondering about your brother." He said quietly, as they walked. "How did he become the second to Olivia?" He asked curiously. "Did she pick him?"
Avalon shrugged at the question. “When we first found others, there was an organized group out there. He worked his way up through them by talking and just proving himself and became like one of their top people. Olivia showed up from I think another group. They’d sent her out to form a new area and she came by where we were. Avature pretty much volunteered and sorta just took the spot second to her. I don’t know why exactly though. I never asked him..”
