Fallen Catalyst and Fangs
Avature quietly gave shale the injection, assuring him faintly that it would help. He didn’t want him to worry, it wouldn’t help. He set the stuff down on the table and sat on the floor, glancing st them and listening to them speak. He wanted to go after her but told himself the same thing he’d told London. She’d be hard to find at night.
Olivia glanced over to Avature, knowing what was going through his head. If it were London she would be thinking the same thing. She sighed and crossed her arms.
"We can't do anything until morning." She told them. "We can only wait now." She glanced over to Shale for a moment. "Both of you try and get some sleep." She said before walking out of the room.
"I'm sorry." London said quietly after awhile. "I should have ran with her..." He shook his head still looking down.

Avature nodded to Olivia. He glanced at shale before to London. “She can handle herself.” He Mumbled, trying to reassure them both. “Chances are that she’s after your group. Or she led them off..”
He knew she could handle herself, but it didn't stop him from worrying.
"They're after me though." He said shaking his head. "She shouldn't have to deal with my problems. "Especially this one."
"Idiot..." Shale managed to say, quietly and weakly. His eyes flickering over to London. "You....live here...."

"Idiot..." Shale managed to say, quietly and weakly. His eyes flickering over to London. "You....live here...."
“I’m with shale. You’re a part of us now. So technically it’s on all of us that she’s not back. Which sucks. It’s horrible. But there’s no good way to find her right now. Or keep her from shooting us if she’s hiding somewhere...@ he reasoned.
He looked over to Shale, seeing the look on his face, then over to Avature. He nodded his head slowly, he was going to do his best to try and feel like he belonged here.
"Okay." He nodded with a small smile. He felt a hand go over his, he looked over seeing Shale's hand. But his eyes widened for a moment. "His fever....it's breaking..." He reached over and put his hand on his forehead, he was already much cooler then before.

Avature looked over when London came to check on shale. “What? Really?” He said, gently touching shales arm and noting the temperature difference. He smiled a bit, still cautious but this was a good sign. He wouldn’t admit it but he honestly was wary that it would work.
London let out a bit of a relieved breath, though he still had a bit of a way to go he was hopeful it would work. But he still was a bit skeptical, but at least his fever was going down.
“If you feel anything majorly different shale, just let us know..” avature said softly. He hoped that this wasn’t just some placebo effect or anything and that shale would actually get better.
Shale nodded his head slowly, still feeling a bit weak.
"Get some rest for now." London said, feeling like he should probably try and sleep also. Though he didn't think he would even be able to.
"Get some rest for now." London said, feeling like he should probably try and sleep also. Though he didn't think he would even be able to.
Avature nodded. “You too London. You should get some rest. I’ll stay up with shale and we can go out in the morning if she’s not back..” he assured gently.
"Okay..." He said reluctantly, slowly getting to his feet. He gave Shale a small smile before heading out of the room. He would try, if she wasn't back before then he would need rest to search for her
Avature watched him leave. He stayed up for the rest of the night with shale, keeping a close eye on him to make sure he didn’t suddenly crash or anything.
London stayed awake for awhile, thinking about everything. He manged to get a bit of sleep, though it wasn't very restful. When morning came, he easily woke up. Deciding he needed to check on Shale.
Avature hadn’t left shales side all night. By morning, he’d dozed off, slumped in a chair. He stirred slightly when someone came in.
London came in as quietly as he could, knowing Avature was probably asleep. He looked over to where Shale lay and came slowly over. Having to smile slightly seeing the color had started to come back to his face.
Avature perked up and watched the two of them. “He’s looking good..” he mumbled faintly. He glanced outside and saw it was light out. He moved to get up.
"Yeah..." He nodded his head a bit, he wanted to ask him how he was feeling. But he didn't want to wake him, so he turned to start to leave.
"Hey..." Shale said, opening his eyes slowly.
"Hey..." Shale said, opening his eyes slowly.
"I...feel okay..." He managed a tiny smile. "Still feel...weak though." London noticed that he even sounded better then he had, it seemed he was having a much better time talking. But he did still sound weak.
"That's good though, you're getting better then." London said optimistically.
"That's good though, you're getting better then." London said optimistically.
Avature nodded in agreement. “Just keep resting. You should start trying to drink and eat if you feel up for it.” He said softly. “I’ll send Olivia in to stay with you?” He offered, wanting to go look around a bit for Avalon.
"Thank you..." He told both of them, closing his eyes again. Though he wasn't sleeping now. He wished he didn't have to stay in this bed, he wanted to be out there doing his job.
"I'll be back a bit later." London promised him, before heading out the door. Since he was doing better, right now he wanted to focus on finding Avalon.

Avature followed London out. He went and found Olivia, talking to her for a few and telling her what she’d missed the night before. “London came back last night. Avalon is missing. But London had some medicine with him. We gave it to shale and it seems to be working..”
Olivia nodded her head thoughtfully, so Avalon still hadn't come back. But at least there was some good news.
"Well we keep an eye on him then." She said thoughtfully. "Make sure there are not any side effects." She knew they would probably want to go after Avalon. "I will keep an eye on him for now. "You two, if you are going to look for her be cautious."

Avature nodded. “We won’t head too far out. Beyond right around here, I don’t know where she’d hide out honestly.” He answered softly. He ran a hand through his hair
"Stay safe." She told him pointedly before turning and going to sit with Shale while they were gone.
London grabbed a few things, grabbing his weapon and putting his bag over his shoulders as he headed outside.
London grabbed a few things, grabbing his weapon and putting his bag over his shoulders as he headed outside.
“Course.” He Agreed. Avature grabbed his weapons and followed London out. “So where did you lose her at?” He asked softly, looking around.
London looked over as he heard him come out, cringing inwardly as heard what he said. It had been him that had lost her, and now he had to try and make up for it.
"This way." He nodded in the direction and started leading the way.
"This way." He nodded in the direction and started leading the way.
Avature hadn’t intended to make London feel like he was to blame. He was just trying to figure out out which way they’d been when they got split up. That would give him s better idea on where to find her. He walked it him, looking around closely
It didn't take long to get to where they had split up. He sighed as they got there and glanced around.
"This is where I told her to run." He told him. "She ran, and I stayed back a bit."
"This is where I told her to run." He told him. "She ran, and I stayed back a bit."
“Okay.” Avature nodded and looked around. “Maybe she ran and then stopped to watch your back for you?” He suggested.
"Maybe." He nodded his head thoughtfully. "Lets retrace our steps...." He started slowly walking along the path he had seen her take before he lost sight of her.
Avature walked beside him. He frowned at the bunch of footprints he could see in the dirt. It eventually looked like they split, some going one way, some going another. “Which way did you go?”
His eyes widened as he started realizing what happened, seeing the different footprint and her's going in the opposite way. He sighed and pointed.
"I went straight for home." He said then looked to the other set of prints. "Looks like...she went this way..."
"I went straight for home." He said then looked to the other set of prints. "Looks like...she went this way..."
Avature nodded slightly. "And the other footprints..." He commented, looking. "Whoever was here stopped for a bit but it looks like they chased her cause more go that way?" He pointed out.
He quickly remembered to last night.
"They were after me." He said quietly. "I got two of them, they probably stopped to make sure they stayed dead." He shook his head. "Lets follow the prints..."
"They were after me." He said quietly. "I got two of them, they probably stopped to make sure they stayed dead." He shook his head. "Lets follow the prints..."
"Well, watch for blood then... Maybe she took out some others or they took her out." Avature said faintly before moving to follow the prints.
He didn't want to think about that last part, he wasn't going to. He pressed his lips together, following behind him.
Avature looked around quietly, keeping a close eye on the ground and the area around them, looking for any sign of blood or bodies or anything.
There wasn't any blood, but the footprints kept going. Thinking and hoping they led to a place she had held up for the night. It seemed like they had stopped chasing her after a little while.
Avature paid more attention to what was around them rather than the path, looking for somewhere She May have hidden or somewhere the group could’ve hidden out as well.
After a moment longer of following the trail he noticed the prints stopped.
"She's has to be around here..." He said looking around the area, looking for any place that looked like a safe place she could be.
"She's has to be around here..." He said looking around the area, looking for any place that looked like a safe place she could be.
Avature kept looking around, biting his lip. “Avalon?” He Mumbled, looking around for anywhere she could possibly hide.
He was starting to get more worried by the second until he saw something. He squinted a bit, walking forward slowly until he saw it properly.
"Look there..." He pointed to what looked like an old abandoned shack of some type.
"Look there..." He pointed to what looked like an old abandoned shack of some type.
Avature nodded and followed after London, approaching the small building. "Seems possible..." He agreed faintly before moving closer.Avalon was hiding inside, listening close but not hearing them yet. She'd shot at a few of the group and had injured them, them shooting back at her with a stolen gun from who knows where. She had done her best and patched herself up and was just waiting a little longer before she would attempt to get home.
He walked over slowly, not wanting to scare her since she had been more then likely been on guard all night.
"Avalon?" He said carefully, as they got closer to the little shack. Hoping she was inside and okay.
"Avalon?" He said carefully, as they got closer to the little shack. Hoping she was inside and okay.
Avalon quickly got up st the voice. It sounded like London but she wasn’t sure so she wouldn’t risk coming out. She put her backpack back on her shoulders and raised her bow. Avature moved closer. “Avalon. It’s okay. You can come out. I got you..” He told her, speaking a bit loud but it would make sure she heard and recognized him.
London waited for a moment as he got to the door, hoping to hear a response. He heard some movement, but she didn't say anything.
"I'm coming in..." He told her, slowly pushing the door open and stepping inside.
"I'm coming in..." He told her, slowly pushing the door open and stepping inside.

"What happened?" She questioned London.
"We got....separated some how." She putting a hand to his face. "I told her to run, because someone was following us...." He paused looking down. "I think....it was my old group...."
