Even though he knew he would have to, he didn't really want to get up now. But he decided to just get on with it, stretching and slowly sitting up turning to sit on the side of the bed. He glanced over, not sure if she was still asleep, but if she was he didn't want to wake her.

Avalon heard the faint noise of him moving but didn’t really jolt awake to it. “Shhh..” she mumbled, voice muffled by her pillow. She just wanted more sleep, even though she had stuff to do

He pressed his lips together, trying not to make to much noise. He definitely felt like that, he got up as quietly as he could. Silently slipping out of the room to head down to get something to eat.

Avalon slept for a short bit longer before finally waking up. She lifted her head and frowned at the sunlight shining in. She grumbled faintly to herself, getting up and getting ready before heading down.

London got down and stopped in his tracks as he head to quickly move out of the way. There were only a few people up yet, but some of them were frantically running back and forth between the supplies and a room down the way.

Avalon was just a few minutes behind London. She came in and frowned. “What’s going on?” She questioned one of the people quickly, looking for Olivia or Avature.

London shook his head, unsure of what to say. No one really answered as the last person rushed passed again.
"Avalon." Olivia poked her head out of the door, nodded for her to come over. "London...you too..." She said with a sigh, disappearing back into the room.

[Fallen]

Avalon frowned and quickly headed to the room. She came in and glanced at avature but he was quiet. She glanced back to Olivia. “What’s going on?”

London walked in behind her, seeing Olivia and Avature. But he glanced over his eyes widening as he saw Shale laying in a bed. Looking pale and sick.
"Wha...what happened?" He asked looking back to Olivia.
"Bitten." She said crossing her arms. "Happened last night, but he didn't say until this morning."

[Fallen]

Avalon nodded. “There was a swarm last night. He got grabbed by two of them. I was up in the lookout and couldn’t get s shot. One probably got him then.” She Mumbled faintly, cursing at herself inside her head. She quietly came over to shale.

London sighed and shook his head, slowly going over to Shale's side.
"I didn't get there in time then..." He whispered. He hadn't wanted this to happen, not to anyone. "There has to be something we can do." He looked between the others.

[Fallen]

Avalon sighed. She shook her head at London. “There’s not a cure for after he dies. And chances are he won’t live/be able to fight the infection and survive...” he mumbled softly.

"But what about the compound?" He said suddenly. "I've heard they have a cure there."
"London, it's a rumor." Olivia said shaking her head. "Probably one started by them to get people there. "And besides, it's dangerous. "You can't just waltz up and ask for a cure."

[Fallen]

Avalon nodded in agreement with Olivia. “If it was a reality, it doesn’t make sense unless they’re trying to wipe us out..” she mumbled softly. “If we show up, we either get locked up or killed. The cities are locked for a reason..” she shrugged slightly.

London glanced back at Shale seeing his eyes open now. Having heard the conversation, he only shook his head slowly.
"If there's even a chance it's true, shouldn't we at least try?" London asked looking back to them. "I'm sorry but I...I can't sit by if I can do something."
"London..." Olivia started, but he quickly went by them out of the room.

[Fallen]

Avalon stayed near Shale. "Hmm, what are you trying to say? Do you want us to try?" She asked him gently, choosing a yes-no question so he wouldn't have to try and speak. She stayed by the bed.

Avature frowned at the conversation. "Let me try Olivia." He said. He quickly followed London out. "You're just gonna get yourself killed..." He told him quietly.

"No..." He shook his head slowly. "Not...worth it." He didn't think him risking his life for him, for something that may or may not exists was worth it.

London looked back at him as he heard him speak, stopping in his tracks.
"If there's a cure, we can use it for more then just Shale." He told him. "Anyone that gets bitten wont have to go through what he is right now..."

[Fallen]

Avalon nodded slightly. "It might be though. As annoying as you are, we do like having you around.." She said faintly, guessing that London was pretty determined to go.

Avature watched London. "I get that. But we've had people go out and try to get the cure before. They've never come back.." He told him. "Our numbers here are small, as sad as it is, losing one is better than risking the whole.." He added.

Shale managed a weak smile, laughing quietly before he coughed a few times.
"Shale, just rest for now." Olivia told him, trying to figure out how to stop her brother from running of head long into danger.

"I will be the only one risking it." He shrugged slightly. "And I'm going no matter what. "He still has a few days left, and I'm not going to waste it standing around here." He turned without another word and headed to grab his things.

Avalon nodded in agreement with Olivia and stayed quiet, not wanting Shale to keep talking.

Avature sighed and followed after him. "Then we'll have two people dead instead of one." He muttered. "Possibly more if Avalon comes after you to try and stop you too." He remarked, following after him.

"He's going to go anyway..." Olivia told her knowing how he was. "No matter what we say, or what I say." She ran a hand down her face. "Whenever he has his mind set on something like this, there's no changing his mind."

"I'm no planning on dying." He shook his head. "And I've got no control of what Avalon does. "If she does come after me I'll do what I can to get her to stay here."

[Fallen]

Avalon nodded. “Then he’s gonna get himself killed....” she mumbled tiredly. “No offense to him but he’s stubborn as hell.” She commented.

Avature sighed. “Don’t you get it? Or are you really just wanting to die?” He questioned as he followed. “They will kill you. We all know this..”

"Always has been." She said pressing her lips together, looking over to Shale for a moment. "But if he's going to do this anyway, might as well give him something to help him do it."

"It doesn't matter what happens to me." He told him as he got to the room. "I'm doing this to help you all..." He trailed off as he closed his eyes. "I didn't get to him in time, he got bitten because I was slow."

[Fallen]

“And just what would that be?” Avalon asked softly.

Avature sighed. “It wasn’t like he was alone out there. Avalon could’ve shot a bit quicker or taken s riskier shot. The other lookouts could’ve gotten there quicker. There’s a hundred different what ifs. None of them matter now..” he told him. “And you’re a part of us. There’s no need to be all overly noble..”

"A weapon, I've been saving for a rainy day." She pulled a key from her pocket. "I'll meet you all outside in a few minutes." She nodded to her, glancing at Shale before heading out the door.

"Look you're not going to convince me otherwise, I'm sorry." He shook his head. "I'm going whether anyone likes it or not." He pushed the door open and walked into the room, going over and packing up his bag.

Avalon raised an eyebrow but didn’t question it. She looked back to shale. “Get some rest. I’ll be right back.” She promised, not wanting him to be left alone


Avature sighed in frustration. “Then you’re not going alone. At least take a buddy. It’s safer in pairs. At least then someone has your back.” He relented, knowing he wouldn’t be able to convince him.

Shale nodded slowly once, giving her a ghost of a smile. He quietly groaned as he tried to move but quickly decided against it. Closing his eyes as he tried to sleep.

London closed up his backpack, picking up his machete and looking over to him.
"If someone decides to come with me fine?" He asked putting the bag over his shoulder. "But I'm not asking anyone else to risk there life."

[Fallen]

Avalon stayed for a minute longer. She quietly left the room and headed outside to meet Olivia.

Avature sighed. “Hell. I’ll come with you if I have to. You’re not walking out of this town alone to go after them though.. I don’t care how long you were alone before. That’s not how we do stuff here.” He Mumbled.

London shrugged.
"Fine." He said quietly. "Just know whoever does come with me, will run the risk of running into my old group on the way there." He sighed adjusting his bag. "Whoever's coming better hurry up, we can't waste to much more time."

“Then let’s head down. I’m sure Olivia needs to talk to you before you leave.” Avature said, glancing around the room that London and Avalon shared. He moved and went back downstairs and outside.

London sighed as he heard that, of course he was going to have to hear it from her too. But he shook it off and headed outside, seeing Olivia standing there with her arms crossed, she handed him a bag quickly.
"Look, I don't like this." She said a bit upset. "It's crazy, and dangerous, but I know I can't stop you. "So if I might as well help you get what we need." She pointed to the bag. "That'll help you once you get to the compound, don't open the bag until then."

Avalon stood with Olivia. She glanced up st avature and knew he’d had no luck convincing him not to go. She knew that avature would want someone to go with London and she didn’t want that to be him, knowing her brother was needed there. Same with Olivia. And nobody else really would be willing to risk themselves for something so dumb. But she felt guilty cause it’d been at least partially her fault that shale had gotten bit. So she figured she needed to go. She glanced to Olivia. “You guys’ll Be Fine for s few days. We’ll make it back...” she said, moving to head in and get her stuff.

"Wait your coming with?" London blinked as he watched her go toward the door. Olivia sighed and ran a hand through her hair, this getting to be even more crazy. But with Avalon she knew they would have a better chance of them coming back.
"Both of you be careful then." She said crossing her arms, looking at both of them pointedly.

[Fallen]

“I know where almost all of our other bases are. I can probably keep us safer with all the knowledge we have of common routes..” Avalon shrugged. She looked away when she heard a heavy sigh from Avature, knowing he’d be upset. She quickly went inside to her room and packed up the essentials.

London closed his eyes, not wanting her to be the one to come. He didn't like the thought of her getting hurt because of him. He wasn't going to let it happen, he would keep her safe the whole way there. He looked over to Olivia again, seeing the look on her face. Though she was trying to put on a brave face he could tell she was worried.

Avature glanced at Olivia and smiled weakly. He went back across the street to go grab some more arrows they had stocked up along with some other supplies he knew they would both need. He packed them up for them and took it back outside.

Avalon moved quickly. She came back downstairs after a few and came outside. She ran a hand through her hair and looked around. “Let’s get this over with..”

"Okay, listen carefully." Olivia said after she came out. "Don't linger, get what we need and get out as fast as you can." She looked between the both of them. "And only do what you have to."

"We'll be back soon." London nodded, giving her a reassuring smile. He went over and gave her a hug before pulling back and nodding. "See you soon."

“Understood.” Avalon promised Olivia. She took the arrows and the bag from her brother, thanking him softly before hugging him tightly. They’d never been apart for long since this all began but she knew this is something she needed to do. She let him go after a moment, stepping back.

London waved as he started to head out, smiling slightly as he did.
"Well be back before you know it." He called to them, mostly to reassure his sister. He turned back forward as he headed on, deciding not to linger anymore. They didn't have much more time to waste.

Avature nodded and looked to Olivia. “Why are our siblings stubborn as hell?” He muttered.

Avalon quickly followed after London, falling into step beside him. “We can only try the closest city. That’s the only one we can get to and back in enough time...” she saidnsoftlyn

Olivia shook her head and sighed.
"I wish I knew." She said quietly. "Can't do anything about it now. "We just....have to trust that they can get this done."

"Alright." he nodded his head thoughtfully. He hadn't realized until now that he was a bit scared, but he wasn't going to show it. Right now he was focused on this.

Avature nodded slightly. “I mean if anyone can do it, Avalon’s got the knowledge and London seems like a good fighter... they’ll get back,.” He Mumbled, not able to think about what would happen if they didn’t.

Avalon kept quiet for a few, easily keeping up with his quick pace. She was lost in her head, mapping out the best way to go and everything.

Olivia nodded agreeing, they would be fine. She would trust this task to them, for now until they got back she would have to keep everyone calm about Shale's condition.

London glanced back at her as they walked, noticing the thoughtful look on her face. He didn't know if he should bother her right now, he decided to keep quiet for now.

[Fallen]

“Well just try and keep shale alive long enough for them to make it back..” avature said before moving to head back inside. He didn’t want shale left alone. It wouldn’t take long after he died before he’d come back as a zombie and if that happened, they wanted to be ready to kill him before he hurt anyone.

Avalon kept careful watch around them, fidgeting a bit. She glanced at London occasionally. “We’re gonna cut it really close...” she mumbled faintly after a while.

Olivia stood there for a moment longer watching them until she couldn't see them anymore. She blew out a breath and steadied herself again, nobody could see how worried she was. She had to keep her brave face on, she headed back inside to check on Shale.

"We'll make it." London said glancing back at her, taking in a deep breath. "Everything will turn out fine..." He really hoped it would at least, and that Shale would hold on just a bit longer.

[Fallen]

Avature sat in the room with shale, the door shut so nobody else would see him or be coming in or out.

Avalon glanced at him and shrugged. “Or we’ll die trying..” she commented faintly. She thought London was a bit stupid for wanting to go but then again, that made her stupid too since she went with. Mainly cause she felt guilty, but still.

London cringed inwardly at that, he knew it was a possibility, but he was going to do whatever he could to make sure at least she came back.
"Not going to happen." He said determinedly.

Avalon shrugged. “I hope not..” She Agreed softly. She wanted them to both make it home but would be okay if they didn’t.

"Just...think positive." He said quietly, staring straight ahead now. "No matter what I'll make sure we get what we need." He wasn't going to mention that if it came down to it he would make sure she was the one to get out.

Avalon raised an eyebrow. “Whatever happens. We’re in this together. I’ve got your back and I’m hoping you’ve got mine too..”
