I read the introduction last night, and will be starting page 3 today! :) How's it going for you?

You're ahead of me! :) Niiiice!

Probably not for long. You seem to have more time to read than I do... I'm sure the ability to walk and read helps with that. ;)

I'm ready to start chapter 3! How's it going?

I had a migraine last night, so I didn't read. :( I'll have to try to do double duty to catch up! :)

Don't worry I'm only doing 10-15 pages/night...It shouldn't take you too long.

You suck! I got busy last night... I'm really going to have to kick it into high gear now! :) (It doesn't help that it's not a book that I can take to work... so I'm making progress in The Graveyard Book because I usually read for a few minutes before work, plus I can read it on the way - when I walk to the building.)

It's taking me a long time to read. I have to read very sssslllloooowwwwllllyyyy to catch it all and still find myself re-reading almost every page.

Yeah... that's how the book went for me last time. I've only read the intro this time, but I found myself rereading whole paragraphs. It's a fun book, and it'll probably drive you crazy.

Last night I read from 24-40 and quit and read something that goes quicker. I think that's how this book is going to work best for me. 10-20 pages of this book and then something that I don't have to think so hard about. I can't read House of Leaves right before bed...I don't think I'd be able to sleep...there's too much to wrap my head around.

Too tired to read this last night. I would have had to re-read everything. I'll try again tonight...

Me too. :( I have been so exhausted lately. I had both kids in bed by 8:45, and I was in bed by 9:15pm. I don't know what's wrong with me! I used to be able to stay up until 11:00 or later! :(

I worked until 8:30 and just couldn't focus enough for this book when I got home. I read something else that doesn't take as much concentration.

Yeah, from 8:45 until 9:10 I read Midnight Sun... then got ready for bed, and then fell asleep. :)

Page 51! I read an entire 10 pages before I fell asleep last night... How pathetic is that???

I made it to page 63. This book is taking a while...

Yeah... I'm up to the mid 20's... :)

I'm going to take it with me this weekend, but I'm not sure how far I'm going to get. I plan on listening to A Thousand Splendid Suns while I'm driving to Rapid City this weekend.

Niiice! I think you'll like that audio book! :) My advice - don't bring House of Leaves with you. Bring something that's easier to read! :)

Sonja | 881 comments Mod
I was going to bring other things too... I have a book written by a South Dakotan about South Dakota and I thought that might be fun to take with me.

I need to get back into this. I ended up leaving it at home this weekend.

Jen (nekokitty) | 913 comments Mod
Yeah, me too. I really do like the book, but I'm having a very hard time reading it. I just don't have time to read and pay a lot of attention to it. I keep forgetting what I've read. :(

I honestly do like the book!

I gave up...I'll have to start it again some day. I do really want to read it!

Yeah... someday when we're old and decrepit and have more free time!

message 30: by Sonja, (Da-Sonja) (new)

But we can't wait too long! We have to be able to still comprehend what we're reading...We can't be too senile when we try it again...
