A Quiet Kind of Thunder by Sara Barnard

Kat (katwiththehat) | 48 comments I'm really enjoying this book. I think Sara Barnard did a good job with the rep, not only of selective mutism, but also just of disability in general. So many of the little things the MC points out (medical personnel or other people in public speaking to the partner/caregiver while ignoring the person with the disability, for example) are things that I think are probably common experiences across disability, and I thought it felt like a good portrayal.
