With 9 votes (37.5%), we have decided on Michael Crichton's "Dragon Teeth" for September 2018 Book of the Month. Let's start reading! Happy almost fall everyone!

Candace (candywilliams) | 454 comments Oh wow. I voted for it, but last time I looked, I thought The Unseen World would be the choice. On Friday I bought a copy at the Half-Price Book Store (half price AND 20% off for the holiday) and I'm halfway through it. Really good so far! But I'm happy to read a Michael Crichton, too! Always loved his work.

I expected The Unseen World as well and was set to read it. This one snagged the win at the very end!
I read this last year (it came out right before my birthday) and I’m not ready for a re-read just yet. But I did enjoy it and was so happy that the book had Crichton’s voice despite being published posthumously (unlike Micro which was utterly disappointing). Michael Crichton is my favorite author of all time!

I had Micro on my TBR (may still have it) but because of negative reviews, I didn't read it. That is so disappointing. I don't think we'll see his like again. :(

You might enjoy The Unseen World, though.

Allison, the link you've got for the book is the German version. For a minute I thought I'd lost my mind. Oh wait, how would I know? Don't answer that! :)

Pien | 543 comments That wasn’t at all what I expected from the title, but what a joy it was to read this one! Loved it!

Pien | 543 comments I wonder who have read this book until now? Did you think it was funny? I loved the humor in it, but can’t find that in other reviews... maybe it was me, or the translation made it that way?

StarMan (thestarman) | 1883 comments Glad you liked it, Pien (and others). I haven't gotten around to it, but plan to at some point.

PS: if anyone is looking for another Crichton book that isn't a techno-thriller, consider Pirate Latitudes. I believe it was published posthumously. I found it better than the aggregate GR ratings (~3.42) might suggest.
