October's theme is Monster Romance. Books for this month should be about your favorite beasties - shifters, mermen, ghosts, whatever. Make your suggestions for October's pick here to be included in the poll. Please include a link to the book's Goodreads page if possible. This month's selection from the Suggested Reads for Vaginal Fantasy listopia is Unholy Ghosts.

The poll will go up in two weeks and will end September 30th. For more information see The Vaginal Fantasy Poll FAQ.

Amy | 8 comments I nominate To Kill a Kingdom:

Princess Lira is siren royalty and the most lethal of them all. With the hearts of seventeen princes in her collection, she is revered across the sea. Until a twist of fate forces her to kill one of her own. To punish her daughter, the Sea Queen transforms Lira into the one thing they loathe most--a human. Robbed of her song, Lira has until the winter solstice to deliver Prince Elian's heart to the Sea Queen or remain a human forever.

The ocean is the only place Prince Elian calls home, even though he is heir to the most powerful kingdom in the world. Hunting sirens is more than an unsavory hobby--it's his calling. When he rescues a drowning woman in the ocean, she's more than what she appears. She promises to help him find the key to destroying all of sirenkind for good--But can he trust her? And just how many deals will Elian have to barter to eliminate mankind's greatest enemy?

Victoria | 31 comments Hi All,

I would like to nominate the following book:

Skinwalker by Faith Hunter

Jane Yellowrock is a supernatural skinwalker--one sharing her body with the soul of a mountain lion. When the rogue-vampire hunter is hired to hunt down a particularly nasty vamp, Jane is drawn into the steamy New Orleans vampire society where she learns the ins-and-outs of the "sane" vampire culture, more about her own Cherokee heritage, and we are drawn into a rousing, fast-paced thriller.

Louise (lowies) | 207 comments I would like to nominate Cherie Priest's Maplecroft.

Linnea (robotmaria) | 81 comments When a Gargoyle Awakens by E A Price. Don't judge it by it's cover, it's much better than it looks to be. The book series is like a smuttier version of the Gargoyles TV-show by Disney.
