Val Our September book is Miss Burma by Charmaine Craig Miss Burma by Charmaine Craig.
It is fiction, but based on the author's own family.

my library has entered the 21 st century and has this as an ebook straight to my phone! Of course that doesn't mean I will read any faster!

anyone else reading this?

message 4: by Val (new) - rated it 3 stars

Val I have read it, back in March this year, and Lilisa has also read it, but it looks as if you are the only one currently doing so.

message 5: by Ace (new) - added it

Ace (aceonroam) I have it but was reading Booker books mostly so it fell by the wayside. Of course the Booker books I chose to read didn't make the shortlist 🙄

well I'm very bored with it!

message 7: by Val (new) - rated it 3 stars

Val It does drag a lot in places. I wish the author had decided what parts of the story were important and concentrated on them more.
