I do not read a lot of short stories but I had heard so much about Karen Russell. These were definitely interesting stories and I enjoyed them but am not sure that I will need to read any more Karen Russell for a while.

This was such an emotional book about end of life decisions and what we think our loved ones would want us to do. I thought it was very well written.

I give this book 3.5 stars. It was good but I liked Duma Key a little better if comparing the two Stephen King books.

My favorite Kristin Hannah is still The Nightingale, but this book was so good. I loved the setting of Alaska and the characters were memorable.

This was a very interesting book about the conditions during Hurricane Katrina and how one hospital dealt with them. I did not agree with the decisions made.

I liked how the book depicted the complexity of Sarah and Handful's relationship and how it changed throughout their lives. I had not heard of the Grimke sisters before this novel.

I am reading through this series and just love it. I had read that it was better to read this short story after you had read a few more in the series but really wanted to read them in order. I had no trouble following the characters.

The second book in the series did not disappoint! I am not a history expert by any means so do not know if the stories are inaccurate, but I am enjoying them as the stories they are.
