Jim wrote: "Nice one :-)"Thank you!
Well, that's that! I'll have to find something else to do with myself, now ;-)
Jim wrote: "Well setting it up as an ebook and paperback will be a good start :-)"Good point, well made! :-)
Alicia wrote: "Very visual - enjoyed it. Especially the ending plank."Thanks Alicia. I thought there was only me, Jim and the lady on ABCtales that were looking at it! Glad you enjoyed it :-)
If I had more energy, I'd be a better correspondent, but I'm barely hanging on right now most of the time, and I am SO FAR BEHIND.Keep writing. It's obvious it gives you pleasure, too.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Alicia. Keep on, keeping on! Your comments are always valued and it's always nice to hear from you :-)

Yes, I know, Alicia :-)

OUT TODAY!!When a young noble lady's betrothed rides off to battle, she has high hopes of his triumphant return, unlike her Maid who expects him to last five minutes! To save themselves from a fate worse than death, the Young Lady and her Maid run for their lives (amongst other things) and so starts a set of comic adventures involving a lascivious watchman, a flamboyant sea captain, a vindictive Sergeant at Arms, a Parson and a couple of bailiffs.
Philip Whiteland takes you on this whirlwind fictional tour of the distant past with plenty of laughs and smiles along the way.
And all for just the laughable price of 99p! FREE if you're on Kindle Unlimited 🙂

Jim wrote: "I'm glad you ran with it :-)"Thanks for your prompting! You've got a mention in Despatches, by the way :-)
Jim wrote: "How do Goodreads blogs do for hits?"I don't honestly know, Jim. I can't see how you can find out. Some time ago I synced my Goodreads blog with my actual blog, which is why my posts appear on Goodreads about 24 hrs after they are originally posted.
I don't know either. Mine is synced but to read it you've got to click on the link and that takes you back to my blog, not to the goodreads one
Jim wrote: "I don't know either. It must have been a long time ago. Goodreads is something of a mystery to me at the best of times, seems incredibly clunky in some respects.
Jim wrote: "Yes, I can only sync one blog so it got the dogs and quads one, not the Tallis Steelyard one"Ah, that's a pain! Presumably there's some guru somewhere on here who knows about such things?
Jim wrote: "nice one :-)"Thanks Jim! Actually, I don't think I posted the link to the first story here, so here it is:

Strikes me that with a busy inn on a road junction, it could be amazing just who passes through and who recognise..."
Ah, interesting! Not the direction I was planning to go in, but food for thought :-)
