message 40: by Shiladitya (new)

Shiladitya Dutta | 8 comments The name of the biography is Goebbels The man who created Hitler. This is an autobiography about the chief of propaganda for the 3rd Reich: Joseph Goebbels. In order to understand the importance of Goebbels, you must understand the successes and strengths of the 3rd Reich. It could be argued that a majority of the Nazi party's success can be attributed to masterful use of propaganda and direction of the public will. Though the situation in post-WWII Germany was conducive to a dictatorial power, it cannot be understated how powerful the National Socialist's propaganda campaign was. Thus it would be only logical to read on the life and inspirations of the propaganda chief of the Nazi party. I hope to primarily learn about the methods that Goebbels used in order to control the German people so thoroughly and how he rose to such a position.
