Wikipedia: John Cassian
Library of Congress: Cassian, John, approximately 360-approximately 435

This author has multiple profiles, for each language as appropriate BUT many of these don't have the "authoritative" form as Primary Author.
NB John Cassian (double space) is a modern horror writer)

Relatively simple job:
1. Put John Cassian as Primary Author
2. Add, where appropriate, the variant on the cover as second author.
3. Add any translators or editors afterwards - he merits editors as most collections of his works will be New Works.

Stage 2 - anthologies containing his works
1. Check the cover for any mention of him
2. Where he is on the cover, make sure records have both John Cassian AND cover variant (where the cover is different)
3. When Cassian isn't mentioned on the cover, we can just add John Cassian as Contributor.

Variants found so far. DO NOT MERGE THESE INTO ANY OTHER RECORD!

Question: Tertullian and Origen.
Is the definitive name “Tertullian”, or full name “Quintus Tertullian”? Same question with Origen: “Origen” or “Origen Adamantius”?

In the book “Tertullian, Origen and Cassian on Prayer: Essential Ancient Christian Writings”, they’re listed on the cover by full name, so I edited the entry to reflect that. But it looks like all other entries for Tertullian and Origen use the single name only.

How should they be listed in this title, and in what order?

Should it be:
Tertullian,
Quintus Tertullian,
Origen,
Origen Adamantius,
John Cassian

I notice authors Origen and Tertullian have many of the same issues captured in your Cassian stage 2, above. Translators not listed, Origen/Tertullian not listed as contributors, etc.
