I thought the first volume was an interesting experiment with game theory in manga. That's about all I can say about the game theory though lol. I know enough to recognize it, but not enough to know if it's being used well or accurately in this manga.
On a different note, I was surprised by how many non-white characters there were in this manga. There were a handful of children and the one "mother" character. I think this makes the world feel more realistic, but what do you guys think?

Finally got to this. A lot more gruesome and dark than I expected, but that's not a complaint as the story uses the tension and dread created well. I love the layers of strategy and covert maneuverings. The art is great at times and really off at others.

I agree. It was a nice touch in particular for a manga where there would be absolutely no reason for segregation.

Life at Grace Field House has been good for Emma and her fellow orphans. While the daily studying and exams they have to take are tough, their loving caretaker provides them with delicious foods and plenty of playtime. But perhaps not everything is as it seems…"
