Martin Schuh | 3 comments 2018 has blessed us with a new Fforde book, so i thought we should start a discussion about it. Anyone else reading it? Right now I'm at 3/4 and after a slow start i really like it right now. (view spoiler) What are your thoughts?

Martin Schuh | 3 comments I'm finished now, the ending was a little abrupt, but i really liked it overall.

Gretchen Bernet-Ward (gretchenbernetward) Although it took me awhile to get into it, I ended up loving Early Riser, a book that fulfilled all the descriptions the press like to bandy about and more; dystopian, speculative fiction, world-building, dark, funny, adventurous, hibernation, body parts, cold cold snow ... I liked Winter Consul Charlie Worthing but was impressed by the character of Aurora/Toccata. I am currently re-reading in paperback format but I first read Early Riser as an ebook which didn't have those trademark illustrations. Always love a good mammoth advert!

Darragh Bourke | 1 comments Late to the chat but ended up being a huge fan of this book and the world Jasper created , abrupt ending but really enjoy the pace from start to finish and as usual it’s hard not to fall into head first into Mr Ffordes books - shame it’s a stand alone
