Read a book set (at least 51%) in the years 1918-1938.

Title originally published in the period will qualify as long as they have a contemporary setting (I'm thinking Christie, Sayers, Marsh, for example), as do titles published much later that are set in time period. I have some of both penciled in.

Good. Thanks for clarifying. Christie did jump to my mind.

This looks like it will fit. I have not read it, so don't know if the time period continues past the invasion of Poland, which would be beyond the time period for this task.

Since the description says, "As that first year unfolds and the shadows deepen, the Dodds experience days full of excitement, intrigue, romance and ultimately, horror, when a climactic spasm of violence and murder reveals Hitler's true character and ruthless ambition", I am going to go with it...trusting that it truly is about 1 year.

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 13124 comments I suspect you're right, Bea. I simply wanted to hedge my bets. ;-)
