Rachel N. | 1691 comments Morrigan Crow is cursed to die on her eleventh birthday until Jupiter North shows up and brings her to the Free Republic. There she competes for one of nine spots in the Wundrous Society through four trials. I love the world the author created including giant talking cats, vampire dwarfs and a hotel that redecorates itself. Morrigan and Jupiter are great characters and I wanted to keep reading to find out what happened next. There are still a lot of unanswered questions about the world so I'm glad the next book in the series is coming out later this year.

It was a lot of fun. It is young adult but I'm an adult with no kids and I enjoyed it.

Idit | 1028 comments I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’m reading it with my older daughter for the last few weeks at night and we are both undecided yet.
We are reading jupiter’s hotel now.
We are not giving up yet, but neither of us is in love

Susie My son and I can’t wait for the next one. Not long now.

Idit | 1028 comments It’s Book Week here - and primary schools have costume parade. I just saw a Morrigan Crow walking with a purple umbrella this morning.

(Susie, do your kids got bookweek?)

Kimberly Ann (auntie-nanuuq) | 753 comments I placed this on hold, but of course the Library has it cataloged by
"The Trials of Morrigan Crow", so that made it difficult to locate....

Tracy (tstan) | 1245 comments This was a fun book- excited about the next one!

Susie Idit, yes, we do book week. I was so disappointed at our school as SO MANY kids, and even a few teachers, were dressed as movie and video game characters. Our son went as his beloved Harry Potter, along with at least fifty others!! No Morrigan Crows in our bunch.
