Brigitte Brulz | 2 comments I just finished reading Faith Through Fire: Rwanda and Me. It was heartwrenching to read this true story about the destruction and devastation that occurred during the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. In the course of 100 days, it is estimated 800,000 lost their lives. Interwoven between the accounts of the genocide is a story of Gary Bennett becoming a missionary, meeting his wife, living in Rwanda at the time the genocide began, and losing his beloved wife. As the back cover states: "This took tremendous faith, strength, and courage." There were a few typos in the book, but overall it is one of those books that reminded me how blessed I am.
