What will be interesting is seeing the next seasons. Of Morgan's books, only the first of the trilogy is really cyberpunk, and that is because it is mostly detective noir - the cyberpunk essentially accidental, because when you merge noir with sci fi you get something nearly indistinguishable from cyberpunk.

BUT, Morgans other books in the trilogy are basically transhumanism, not cyberpunk.

So where will the series go?

My money is on transhumanism as well.

So the premise that Hollywood has a hard-on for cyberpunk is false, in my opinion. It's just passing through on its way to more iPhone-looking stuff.
