In terms of the good she did, I most liked the Sunnyside Plantation and turpentine plant investigations best. In terms of her work, they seemed to better the lives of the largest number of people. It’s hard to believe people were sold into what amounted to slavery and yet there was so much official resistance to her efforts.
She also made known the systems by which worldwide organizations trapped unsuspecting people into slavery in far off places. It seems no legislation came of it, which seems like a failure on the part of the American legal system.
