Janee Livingston | 3 comments We recently put out a new edition of our book 5th Grade Screams with a new cover. As GoodReads wouldn't let me replace the old edition with the new one, I created a new edition. Both editions have the same ISBN. I would like to combine the two editions on here so that all the reviews and ratings will show up with the book. Do I have the capability to do that? Or does a librarian need to do that? I've tried doing it and I can't seem to do it. Only one edition shows up as being a book that I've written. The other shows up as a book I've read. I can't figure out how to change that. Thanks.

Your profile name is 'Janee Livingston' not 'Janee' Livingston'
You would need to contact support if you want to have it changed.
I corrected it to your profile name for now.

The primary author has the option of combining editions.
I have combined the empty one with other two:

I also corrected format on Kindle edition, and publication date on the new cover edition (it should be the date when the edition with the new cover was published).

What data should be added to the empty edition?

Janee Livingston | 3 comments Ok, that's great. Could the empty editions be deleted? Is that a possibility?

Also, I am fine keeping it at Janee Livingston if that's what works best.

I'm honestly ok just having one edition though. All that was changed was the cover. Everything else is the same. The ISBN stayed the same. I don't want to lose all the reviews, etc.

So is there a way to just combine the two editions so we keep the reviews/ratings but have the new cover?

Janee Livingston | 3 comments That's the thing. They aren't really different editions. We literally changed the cover and that's it. The ISBN is the same and everything. So we can't just combine the different ones that are showing up?

The various editions are already combined. Goodreads policy is to keep all published covers on the site, as users want to shelve the cover of the copy they have. Instead, we add an alternate-cover edition, which was done here. See and

As the author, you have the ability to change which edition of the book is the default, which will come up in searches by title and show on your author profile. Here's how:
