Laurel Jones | 10 comments This is a short, illustrated book published in the 50's or 60's such as you might find in a gift/card shop with drawings similar to, maybe by, Hilary Knight, although I cannot find it in searches using this illustrator. The young man, upper/upper middle class, talks about his upbringing including fencing and other sports. I remember some specific phrases here:
"En garde! Entrechat! En Francais! On your mark!"
He talks about the "Nice Girl Across the Street" vs the "Naughty Girl Around the Corner". He wonders what is wrong with him: "Was my heart in the right place?"
