A science fiction of how a black woman go back in time to live the life of/with her ancestors!

I kept telling myself I needed to put it down so I could accomplish other things, but it was not easy to put it down.

Kindred is a written novel that explores race, gender, conflict, and a rather serious past experience with slavery!

Unique time-travel perspective on slavery, ranging from 1970s to 1820s Maryland. Impossible to understand what it was like but the author tries to face those themes. First published in 1979, this book is reappearing on new classic lists.
