3.5 stars - This started out very strong for me - I enjoyed the punchy short chapters, the fast moving plot and focus on the (deranged) growth of Grenouille as a character. It's quite a feat of imagination, as far as the plot line goes. But something happened about halfway through where this started being too convoluted and less engaging for me. I think at the point where Grenouille's madness overtook his 'gift'. Overall, I enjoyed it and would recommend it, despite it losing its potency.
