What is a historical Biography?

This is one definition I found:
Biography: Historical. Definition. Historical biography (from the Greek historia: inquiry, knowledge; bios: life; grafein: writ- ing) is a reconstruction of a human life, and a representation of an historical individual. Thus, the notion of biography encompasses more than a pure life depiction.

We will be reading Biographies on Historical People.

This is the worst genre for me, I struggle with any kind of biographies.

I do have The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks on my TBR so I think I will go with that for this month.
