Hello readers! For August, our prompt is to choose a book that has been (in the past or present) BANNED. You can choose any book that has been banned at any point in time, in any county! Feel free to share your choices below, along with links to your review once you've finished it so that we can read your thoughts!

Chelsea and I are going to kick off August (and this prompt) by reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Hmmmmm!!! Great prompt idea. I just finished reading a book that I know was challenged, all her books are challenged but they usually stay on the shelves. I wonder I have a book at my house (other than Harry Potter lol) that I know was actually banned. Going to do some research today!

I think I have decided to go with The Handmaid’s Tale. It’s been sitting on my shelf since way before the Hulu series came out. No time like the present!

I am going to read In Cold Blood. It's on my to-read list and it was banned (temporarily) by a Savannah, GA high school after a parent complained about sex, profanity, and violence.

The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. (http://books-n-music.blogspot.com/201...) Amazing that he spent ten years researching and then made himself sick by writing it so quickly. Also, Go Tell it on the Mountain by James Baldwin (http://books-n-music.blogspot.com/201...). So vivid and honest!
