Feel free to use any template in order to create your characters. Try and get the main elements in there, but don't feel the need to write reams and reams of stuff. (I trust you) If you have any questions that relate to character creation please ask a moderator or refer to the rules in the information section. You will have to ask a moderator for approval before roleplaying so leave a message on the approved character thread and someone will look at your character.

Ivy ~ I should like to go on an adventure. (loulie1997) | 10 comments Fullname: Talia Karam Hakim
Age: 18
School Year: 13

Faceclaim: Zoe Barnard

Personality: The two words that best describe Talia are shy and curious. She is by no means weak, but her timidity suits her, and she has never had a talent for making friends. She’s awkward, yet her heart is lined with kindness. She loves learning, adept especially at music and chemistry. She thirsts for travel, and is determined to see the world upon graduation, even if her father has different ideas. Though she is reserved, Talia often finds herself quite lonely. Even introverts need human connection from time to time. Deep down, she’s a free spirit, she just may need to learn to be brave.

History: Talia is from Qatar, the 7th of 14 children. Her father, Karim Hakim, is an oil Tycoon whose net worth is estimated at around 26 Billion Riyal (£5 Billion or $7 Billion) Though her four oldest brothers will take over their father’s company, she and her other siblings will inherit a vast fortune. Talia’s family is quite progressive, and while still maintaining many of their Islamic roots, Talia is very much the black sheep. She has never been convinced by religion, and lives searching for answers different from what her family’s faith has to offer, much to her father’s chagrin.
Talia’s mother, Nasim, died of breast cancer when Talia was eight years old, a great tragedy in Talia’s life. Nasim was quickly replaced by Talia’s stepmother, Rashna, who bore Karim his last 5 children. Though Talia loved her family, but she always felt like an outsider, lost in a sea of siblings, and invisible to her father and stepmother. Talia’s heart still aches for her mother, of whom she was quite close. Though she hated to admit it, she always felt the threat of inheriting her mother’s disease, hanging over her head.
Talia attended an all girls school for most of her life, excelling in her classes, yet ever feeling like she didn’t belong. The happiest she had ever been in her life was when she was traveling with her father’s company or on vacation to some new and exotic place. So, she decided to get away and began researching schools far away from the Middle East. By pure luck, she came across the secluded Aldridge Academy. Immediately she petitioned her father to allow her to attend, making all the arrangements, and saying it would be good for her education to explore new worlds and ideas. Half having better things to do than worry about Talia’s education, and half hoping she would see the world was not all that exciting outside Qatar he agreed. Talia cried when she read the acceptance letter from Aldridge, and began counting the days until term began. Paying her tuition and giving his daughter a handsome sum spending money, Karim sent his daughter off to live in the Scottish countryside. He anticipates at the end of the year she will realize her wanderlust is futile, and come home ready to be paired with an eligible husband.
Talia has been ecstatic about her newly found freedom and anticipates the new school year greatly. Talia worked greatly on her accent to blend in with her peers, and only an inkling of her previous life can still be heard. Shedding her hijab, Talia is hoping in this new life she can find more of herself. And so her new life begins.

Weaknesses: Timid, sometimes to a fault. She wants to be courageous, but often lets opportunities slip by.
Occupation: Hoping to get a job in the library at Aldridge???
Extra Curriculars: Orchestra - Cello
Existing Relationships: 7 brothers, 6 sisters, father, stepmother.
Important Belongings: A picture of her and her mother and sisters, a picture of all her family, a vial full of sand from a beach in Qatar worn as a necklace, her cello.

☁Noah & Knox Harem   ☁16   ☁student
☪Martinez twins

(view spoiler)

Noah and Knox may look the same, but have very different personalities. While Knox is more of a rule breaker, Noah goes by most rules if he can help it. If its something thats just utterly ridiculous or tge rule is hurtung someone in some way, then he disregards it. Knox has a devil may care attitude and will curse you as soon as look at you. While Noah is sweet, charming and will go out of his way to make others at ease. Together they are very close, And you will see Knox toning it down slightly for his twins sake. Though sometimes Knox is too far gone to tone it down for anyone. Noah tries to be the voice of reason when Knox has gone too far. This doesn't always work, but sometimes it does. The brothers kind of balance each other out, when they're paying attention. Knox can be very smooth when he wants to be, if its going to get him something he wants, then he knows how to put on a good face.

"To those walking in the rain, they need someone to walk with them more than an umbrella. To those crying to themselves, more than a handkerchief, they need someone to cry on."

❝A  Remembrance ❞

Jerry and Diane were shocked when they learned that they were having not just one baby, but two! Double the diapers, double the work, not that Jerry seemed to mind, but Diane didn't seem as thrilled. Diane carried almost full term, she was a couple of weeks shy, the boys were still born at a healthy weight, even chunky for twins. Diane ended up with postpartum depression, wanting nothing to do with the boy twins the first year and a half of their life. Jerry was their constant, and he tried to be sensitive to his wife as well, and understanding, though it was hard. Jerry was in love with his rough and tumble boys, and could see their personalities developing that first year. He recorded all of their firsts, their first steps, their first words, their first bouts of real food. He wanted to make sure Diane could look back and see them all, once she came back to being herself. But she didn't come back to being herself, she divorced him. Diane had an up and coming career in London, she could support herself, she didn't need Jerry and his job to be able to make it. She divorced Jerry, gave him full custody of the boys and moved on with her life. Jerry was devastated, he never saw it coming, thankfully he had his boys to distract him and keep him occupied through his heart break.

Knox was five when he had his first fight, there was another boy teasing his twin, Noah, and he punched the boy square in the nose, making it bleed. He was suspended for the day, and had his first talking to with the principle, this would become a regular occurrence because Knox didn't like authority, and he didn't put up with anyone's bullshit. Noah was the sweet, quiet type at first, mostly letting his brother take the spotlight. As they grew though, he got involved in theater as well as a few other clubs and had his own kind of spotlight, he became more charismatic and learned to shine without his twin. Though he did end up being the one to talk Knox out of some pretty stupid things, like jumping off the roof on a skateboard when they were eleven.

Jerry worked for a big corporation and made plenty of money, he worked from home a lot, so that he could be in his boys lives. Their mother saw them once a month, and really that involved them sitting in her flat playing video games, or wandering the city on their own, while she did her thing. The boys didn't see the point of even going to her flat, at least when they were at their dads they got attention, and did family things. Not that Knox was all for that kind of thing, or so he said. Noah loved the family outings and game night, he soaked up the together time. Jerry became more involved in his work, and Knox became more out of control, teen angst and all that. Plus, his therapist said he had a lot of issues to work out with his mom, not that Knox liked to be active in his therapy sessions. So Jerry decided that the boys needed something more structured, somewhere where they would be supervised most of the time, a boarding school. He researched quite a few of them, and the one that kept popping up with great reviews was Aldridge Academy. It was going to be a bit of a ways away, but it would be a good school for his boys to go to while finishing school. They would get high recommendations to colleges, and maybe Knox would get some sense knocked into him. Jerry packed up the boys and took them to their new school, his heart heavy as he left them for the first time in their lives, their mother had no problem with it of course, and thought it was the only good thing her ex had done in their boys lives.

Rhea is something of a nightmare, a spoilt little madam with an attitude complex and a tendency to misbehave in those social situations where it's really uncalled for. She's a typical snooty rich kid, though perhaps with more of a wild streak than most. Growing up her parents showered her with everything money could buy and Rhea always, always got her own way. She's not stupid, in fact Rhea is quite the opposite. It's often boredom that gets her acting out in class or zoning out to the point of disinterest. Underneath all that she's pretty sharp, she's just lazy. Rhea can be quite manipulative, she always seems to know exactly what to say and has dragged numerous people into her schemes over the years. She forms relationships with people quickly, but drops them as soon as she's done with them. It's been a long time since anyone really made an impact on her life.

Rhea was born in Paris to a French mother and British father. She grew up an only child, fussed upon by her nannies and her parents alike. Her father was a famed crime novelist and her mother a film director, meaning Rhea spent a lot of time away from them during her formative years. To make up for their absence, Rhea's parents showered her with whatever her heart desired. Be that a horse, trips to Disneyland or diamond jewellery that was far too expensive for a young girl. She was home schooled from an early age, taught both English and French before studying at an International School in Paris. The school helped to shape her into a studious and more rounded young girl, Rhea had good grades, built strong friendships and became more ambitious as she grew. But all of that changed when her mother got sick.

Rhea didn't even hear about her mother's illness from her parents, she heard it from a girl at school who had seen it in the tabloids. She was devastated and felt betrayed by the fact they'd kept it from her. The year that followed was the worst of Rhea's life, watching her mother go from a beautiful, brilliant, creative woman to a mere shell of herself. Sophie Aspinall died almost a year to the day she got her diagnosis and Rhea fell apart. In the two years that came after, her father let her behaviour slide, let the screaming fits, the school expulsions and the classroom fights pass by. She needed to act out and he let of her. Of course that was really the last thing Rhea needed and as her grades began to slip and her attendance fell to almost nothing it became clear she was spiralling. Her father pulled her out of school and had her tutored at home again for a time, but nothing could motivate her.

Things only became worse when Peter welcomed a new woman into his life. It was four years after Sophie's death and Rhea was fifteen. Lillian Durand had worked at Peter's publishing company for many years and in the time after Sophie's death the two had grown close. Rhea accused him of having an affair behind her mother's back, insulted Lillian and even went as far as slashing her tyres with a kitchen knife. The last straw came six months later when Rhea stole Lillian's pet dog and sold it on the internet. Her father withdrew all of Rhea's financial privileges and shipped her off to the boarding school he had attended as an adolescent. In dreary, freezing Scotland. Her father is of course hoping it will straighten her out, but Rhea has other ideas. The only thing she wants to get out of Aldridge Academy is to get out of it, and she'll do whatever it takes to accomplish that.

• Sarcastic

Indie Darwin was born in the late afternoon, her birth mother never saw her face. The child was immediately taken from the delivery room and given to a representative from the adoption agency. Her birth mother was only 14 years old, and wasn't ready to raise a child, so she gave her up, in hopes that she would live a better life than the one that she could have given to her. Indie was adopted only days after being born, by two dads, Jake and Dimitri. They were a cute couple,(view spoiler) and had been together for five years before considering kids. Once they met Indie, they knew that she was the one. Indie went home with them a month later, after all the paperwork was finished. Indie's room was one made for a princess, she had everything she could possibly need. One of her dads was the CEO of a financial company, while the other worked in a bank as an accountant, they were fairly well off, and could handle taking on a child financially. They were well ready emotionally as well, both loving the child as their own, and spoiling her as much as possible. Though they didn't call it that, they just called it extra loving, they didn't believe in being spoiled, just overly loved.

Indie was four when she realized that her parents were different than other parents. A little boy on the playground pointed out that she didn't have a mommy, and called her 'weird' for having two dads. Indie punched that boy in the eye, walking away proudly, hands on her hips. She knew that he was judging her family, and she wouldn't stand for it, she loved her dads, and wouldn't have it any other way, she didn't need a mommy, when she had two great dads. Jake and Dimitri chastised Indie for hitting the boy, but silently they were proud of her for standing up for her family. Much of Indie's childhood went this way, people judging her dads, and their lifestyle, and Indie defending it. Eventually Indie stopped defending herself, and began ignoring others and their ignorant comments.

Indie was 14 when she had her first kiss, it was in a closet, during a game of hide and seek. The boy's name was Eric, and he had dreamy blonde hair, piercing brown eyes, and a smile that could knock you off your feet. The problem was, the kiss did nothing for Indie, it didn't shock her to her toes, or give her goosebumps, she felt nothing. She wondered if maybe it was just Eric being the wrong guy, so she went on to kiss a few more boys that year, trying out her theory, but no one gave her a toe curling kiss. Sure they were passionate, just not what she was looking for. When she brought it up with her dads, they were concerned for her, she shouldn't be going around kissing just anyone. They explained to her that someone would come around, someone that she would fall in love with, she just needed to be patient. Patience wasn't one of her best qualities, she tried though. She also tried dating a couple of guys, one of them lasted almost six months, but she never developed feelings for the guy, and felt like she might be doing things wrong. Maybe there was in fact something wrong with her, and not the people she'd been dating.

That is until Angel came along, Angel was new to school, and Indie had been elected to show her to her classes on her first day of school. The two clicked immediately, they found they had similar interests as they walked and talked. They setup study dates and went to the movies a few times together, before Angel did something that Indie hadn't been expecting. They were sitting on Indie's bed, a plate of pizza rolls between them, when Angel leaned forward and kissed Indie on the lips, out of nowhere. Indie was shocked at first, and didn't kiss back, but as the kiss lingered, she noticed that a thrill went through her, and she began kissing the other girl back. The two were more inseparable than ever after that. Her dads approved, Angel seemed like a good influence, and she didn't object when Indie had family nights with her dads every week. The two dated for almost two years, it was just short of Indie's 18th birthday when they broke up. Angel's parents got an oversea's job, and so they were moving. Indie was more than willing to try a long distance relationship, but Angel didn't see it as realistic, plus she didn't want to hold Indie back from finding someone nearby. It was a hard time for Indie, and still is a sore subject for her.

Indie finished her Junior year of high school, and spent the summer moping around her families condo. She rarely went to the pool that summer, and didn't really go out with her friends, despite her dads encouraging her to. Instead she vegged out on the couch watching soapy tv shows, and made a wishlist on Amazon for her dormitory that she would be moving into in the Fall. She had been accepted to her ideal boarding school, and was planning on moving far far away from the familiarity of home. Indie couldn't even get excited about it, she was too deep in her feelings over Angel, who she tried to stay in contact with, but Angel didn't seem to feel the same way, trying to cut Indie off, nice and clean like. Indie is starting school abroad for the first time with a broken heart, and she's not sure where her life is leading after this, but she's there, and she has the support of her dads to keep her stable.

IM HYEJIN is an eighteen year old girl born in Seoul, South Korea. She moved to Scotland when she was eight and began attending the academy when she was eleven. Now, she's in Year 13 and is a member of the school's girls' soccer team. She is a cisfemale, lesbian, and resembles Kim Doyeon.

When someone first meets Hyejin, they regard her to be rather aloof but nonetheless kind. She was never the one to have too many friends, seeing as a majority of her classmates still see her as the foreign girl that didn't understand English when she first entered the academy, but people still thought she was friendly. She is if you can get past her short temper, her flirtatious tendencies towards the same sex, and her awkward puns.

Listen, she doesn't have commitment issues like some people say. Ever since Hyejin came out to her parents when she was fourteen, they've done what they can to "make her straight again", whether it be by threatening a business marriage or forcing her to go on blind dates. So the only thing that could be done was show just how gay she was to her parents. And she likes sleeping around. People that think sex is a holy thing are weird and clearly didn't read up on their biology.

Soccer is one of her biggest passions, and if it weren't for her awful father, she would be doing what she can to pursue a career in the sport. Alas, Mr. Im would not allow his daughter to be anywhere but in the top-floor office of his real estate company, which is the last thing Hyejin would ever do. However, there's only so much rebelling that one person can do, so she has obliged to his directions and will not pursue a career in soccer. That doesn't mean she won't play every game like her life depends on it.

  Im Daewhi — Father
  Park Nayoung — Mother

Hyejin's ultimate weaknesses are the people she cares for. Though it doesn't seem so, she will put her life on the line for others. Another weakness of hers is her short temper and how she breaks down with any possible romance.
Seeing as her parents live in Scotland, not far from the academy, her closest personal belonging is a pair of earrings her grandmother had given to her a few days before she died.

❝   AHN SOOYOUNG, seventeen & year twelve & australian   ❞
( also a citizen of great britain — born there + father is a citizen )

HOW LONG IS A PIECE OF STRING? how long will it be before sooyoung can go home, and will it still be home when he gets there? he's still got his accent, but it's become ever so slightly scottish from the five years he's spent here. sooyoung misses home, but the memories can't be recreated. playing in the creek with his friends, building ‘bridges’ and dams and riding their bikes down the mountain path. things he's too old to do again, things he's no longer physically able to do. scotland has changed sooyoung — in some ways for the better, and others not so much.

last year was the worst year of sooyoung's life. between the chronic fatigue that began building from the outset and the leukemia that became dangerously apparent only a few months in ( and the subsequent chemotherapy that kept him in hospital for months, missing out on countless classes ) he barely managed to keep up with his schoolwork to a point where he was able to avoid repeating the year.

( sooyoung has really bad health for no apparent reason. it's not his immune system, it's not genetic — he just overworks himself and happens to be prone to cancer. )

SOOYOUNG DOESN'T TALK MUCH. it's because he doesn't want to be interrogated about his absences ( which have continued into this year ), not because he's antisocial. he also tends to stick to the walls and the corners of rooms, for the same reason. while the stereotype of the kids in the back is wanting to get away with mischief, sooyoung chooses to sit there in most classes so he can hide from his classmates' questions and stares.

born in scotland but moved to australia before he was one, sooyoung never really felt any connection to his second citizenship. it was a convenience at best, and a useless piece of paper at worst. he had a lot of friends, he went to a good primary school — then his father lost his job, and they packed everything and moved to scotland to find a job there. and sooyoung was sent off to aldridge using his grandparents' money. and that was fine — he coped. until the workload got heavier and he started working harder and focusing more and more on school. and, well, we know what happened after that.

( he has only two important belongings: his flute and his camera which is useless without a darkroom | existing relationships? he had his family until they shipped him off to boarding school. as for friends, not really. )

SEO JEONGIN, nineteen & year thirteen
it feels like i'm floating in the middle of the sea

jeongin isn't the best at talking. especially not in english. he's travelled around many different countries because of his parents' work, and and he's attended several schools — many of which were international schools — but he struggles to speak in most languages. he's never been particularly talkative, so practicing speaking new languages wasn't something he did very often — at school he didn't speak in any language, usually, so he didn't need to worry about that, and at home the family speak mostly korean. when he speaks at school his english is stilted and heavily accented (not as heavily accented as the scottish students, but they're all used to that accent).

strengths : intellect + compassion + strong morals
weaknesses : quiet + poor spoken english + easily frustrated by communication difficulties
belongings : postcard from a cousin + grandfather's wedding ring + black dress shirt
relations : mother + father + brother + extended family

born in jeju, jeongin grew up with his uncle and aunt and cousin on the island until his brother was born. those six years were some of the best of his life. but then his brother was born, and he was packed up and sent to beijing to be with his parents and newborn brother. he resented this change, and took several months to acknowledge his parents as his parents (having only seen them once or twice a year until now). but he loved his baby brother the minute he set eyes on him — a tiny, dark-haired child whose smile could melt even the coldest of hearts.

they moved to singapore when jeongin's brother was three and jeongin was nine. another upheaval, another language to learn, another school to get used to. this was the beginning of jeongin's silence, refusing to talk to anyone at school because the few times he did he was mocked for his broken english (as though those who mocked him were any better when they first started learning). from there, they moved to various countries, each time with the same struggles. and now they're in scotland, and on top of having to speak english he has to try to understand the accents.

Caspian is a chill guy, you can often find him in a nook reading a book, listening to his iPod. If he's not doing this, then he may be playing video games, or learning a new board game. Some might say he's introverted, but he's not, far from it. He just has his things he likes and he does them, he doesn't think about how much he might seem into his 'things' that he likes, or that he may seem isolated from the rest of a group. Caspian is very caring about others, he reads people well, and tries to please those around him, if they deserve it, if not, then he may just completely ignore said person. Though he can hold a grudge, Caspian is very forgiving, and can give grace when he thinks its needed. Though Caspian can be socially awkward, he does go out of his way to talk to people and try to make new friends. This doesn't always go well for him, and sometimes he ends up sitting alone with a new person disliking him, but he at least tries. Caspian has more friends on World of Warcraft than he does in real life, and he's had those friends for several years. He considers those in his guild a big part of his life, and doesn't seem to notice when people look at him weird for talking about his online friends.

"To those walking in the rain, they need someone to walk with them more than an umbrella. To those crying to themselves, more than a handkerchief, they need someone to cry on."

❝A  Remembrance ❞

8 lb, 2 oz baby boy was born on August 4th, bald head, and brown eyes. His mum looked at him with adoration when he came into the world, his father was away at sea, but he was looking forward to meeting his newborn son. The baby and mum were closely connected from the time he was born, the pair were rarely apart in the next four years to come. The toddler would follow his mum everywhere, that included to her book club meetings, and other mum like events she went to. His dad was in and out of his life, as he was a fisherman, and lived at sea much of Caspian's childhood. Caspian learned to read early, and wanted more books than toys from an early age. He loved the adventures that he could go on in so many different worlds in the source of books. It helped not only to pass the time, but to also develop a wonderful imagination in the little boy. He also loved games, video games and board games alike. He loved yhe strategy you had to use in them, and would play for gours if his mum let him. He started playing World of Warcraft at only ten years old, he was a bit young to be playing the game, but with help from other players he found he could play the game fairly well. He played as a Druid for the Horde, and was proud of his accomplishments in the game. He tried to get his friends at school to play, but most of them weren't interested or didn't want to be that kid. The kid that spent hours on the computer, pretending to be in a virtual world, with people you don't know in real life. Caspian saw it as being the same as reading a book. You could be completely immersed in either one, he did it all of the time.

Caspian was 12 the first time that he started taking pictures of the world around him. Taking in something other than just the video game world, and books that encompassed most of his life. Usually the pictures were of himself, he would set the camera up on a tripod and time the pictures just right. Sometimes he took pictures of a rock wall that was crumbling from the years it had seen, or of a girl looking off in the distance, maybe a flower wilting from a long day of blooming in the sun. Photography didn't become one of his main hobbies, but it became something he enjoyed on the side. His mum was happy to see him out and about, and even conversing with friends outside of his gaming world. Though he had some friends at school, he didn't go out with them much, he didn't see the need to with his online friends at his fingertips.

At 15 he went to his first dance, he tried asking a girl to go with him, but it ended badly, and she laughed him out of the cafeteria. He went stag, not minding, and really not caring so much about the girl and her opinion of him. Caspian was who he was, and he wasn't going to change that for any person or crowd. Caspian's mum wanted him to become more involved, and to be able to go further than the public school system could offer him, so she applied for him to be accepted at Aldridge Academy, a boarding school right there in Scotland. Caspian had no idea of his mum's actions, not until he was accepted and was told over the summer that he should mentally prepare himself for his new life. At first he was kind of angry, but throughout the summer, and after seeing all that Aldridge had to offer, Caspian came around to the idea of going to a boarding school. Plus it wasn't like he would be leaving behind his computer, or his favorite books and board games, he could take all of that stuff with him.

Sapphic║██ ✾ Quinn Velrose ✾ Year Thirteen ✾ Nineteen ✾ Male ✾ Guy's Swim Team

If Quinn was discribed in three words they would be: imperturbabile, intriguing, and intelligent. He's one that doesn't exactly care for the feelings of others and has no shame in broadcasting that to the world. Yet no matter how much he tells everyone that falls for him that he isn't up for commitment, they all believe that they can change him. He doesn't care for 'true love' and probably never will. All he cares about is his music career, and getting the hell out of the school and the hell away from the swim team. Whenever you see someone like Jaxon in the hallway, peircings that run through his nose and clip his ears, most take notice of him wether you'd like to or not. His presence demands attention, and he can command a room. While Jaxon does tend to shy away from long term relationships, and short term, that doesn't mean that he is conservative. Not at all. In fact, if someone asks, he will without a doubt provide. He's quite good at what he does, and knows exactly how to please, if it was either simple hand holding, or staying for the night.

Quinn was always quite the charmer. Born in Dublin, he would always hang in the countryside. Bringing flowers to his mother, and giving gifts to the teachers, instead of pulling girls hair he would braid it instead, and weave in flowers. Yet he was sly, he didn't do this things just to be kind, he did them because he understood what it meant to have a reputation. In every single community a reputation was something difficult to gain, and easy to tarnish. If there was even one little slip up, everyone would assume the worst, so for the longest time, Quinn stayed the golden boy, doing what the teachers told him, and ignoring what anybody said about him because the adults were wrapped around his little finger. It wasn't reslly untill he entered Junior high when he trully realised he was alone. The girls while kind and all, always had some sort of double standard fir him, and when he turned down the confessions, they would turn on him calling him a womanizer, and flirt, and a cheat.

As soon as the lies reached his ears, Quinn grew extremely self concious about what others thought of him. He had always done his best to keep up such a clean exterior that the minute someone had said anything it all crumbled. So, he would date girls that confessed to him everytime, leaving trails of broken hearts behind him, he would kiss boys that needed someone to figure out their sexuality, but eventually he was seen as submissive, compliant, and easy. So when he hit ninth year, he lost it. Every single one of his 'fans' he dropped, ignoring every soul who cornered him the hall, people who called him their friend, he cut out of his life, and wouldn't socialize with others for days on end. Instead, of turning to people for comfort, he began to turn to music to heal him. Taking up the guitar, and soon began to play by ear.

It didn't take long of course for him to create his own songs, some good, and some bad, but they were his, and he could tweak them by himself. Near the start of year ten, Quinn reinvented himself. As someone who didn't care anymore. He did what he wanted within the boundaries of his own morals, and if people judged him for that, then that was their own problem, not his. His problem was figuring out when his next recording session was, and where the next party was being held. While people do talk behind his back about his 'general services' much, they aren't complaining when he provides for them either.

LI XIANG ; eighteen & year thirteen

Xiang is the kind of privileged kid who doesn't realise just how lucky they are, in a way that's really annoying. He's oblivious in more ways than just socially, and he waltzes through life without paying much attention to the important details that would actually affect most people. His parents have always been there to help him, always ready to catch his mistakes and fix them before they can affect him. He's the definition of sheltered.

But at the same time, he's also a kid who was shipped off to Scotland at age seventeen because no other school wanted to take him and he needed to finish his education. And sure, if he squints he can pretend it's Hogwarts, but he misses his family and his home — even if they don't seem to miss him in return.

Homosexual║██ ✾ Wallace Gregorio ✾ Year Eleven ✾ Sixteen ✾ Male ✾ Track Team

Wallace is one of the nicest people in Scotland, determined to keep a sunny outlook and positive disposition, he can always be a soirve of joy even in bad times. He never seems to be upset, even when something awful happens, he will go to great lengths to make sure that there is a silver lining. He mostly sticks around his cousin Quinn, though recently he's been kind of a shut out. Anyone who knows Wallace knows that something is going on, but he is so 'wonderfully' determined to never let anyone see that side of him. One thing that nobody has ever seen is Wallace cry, or even break his cheerful attitude, the boy isn't even passive agressive. While some can catch him off guard, he'll simply default to a kind and startled face before revert back to smile. His problems aren't anybody elses, and doesn't ever want them to bear that weight.

Wallace was always seen as the golden boy of his family. Everyone has always loved Wallace, he did his homework, he is responsible, and never dated without his parent's approval. He was popular with his little group of private school friends, and was the, so to speak, the north star, always pointing to the right direction. So when he found out that his father had been cheating on his mother for months, he didn't didn't know what to do with himself. His father was the one who taught him the way of doing things correctly, making sure do the right things even when nobody was looking. Integrity. But his father had absolutely none. He was a hypocrite, nothing but a people pleaser. He did everything for the public, and Wallace wouldn't have a problem with that if his father hadn't lied to him about it for all of his life.

A hypocrite was what he was, and he expeirenced it in the worst way possible. A seven year old little boy stood in the door way of his father beginning to make love to someone who wasn't even his mother. His mother was not a man. His little legs began to move, yelling for mother, to tell her to get away from him. Though before he could even make it out of the guest house, his father had gripped his arms and began beating hin with the nearest thing he could find. Which in this case happened to be a bronze candelabra banging against his legs. After all, if he could run to get his mother attention, then he needed to learn a lesson about how to use them properly.

Ever since that day, Wallace used his legs for the right purpose, track. Every time he ran, he would immagine trying to get his mother, and everytime he stopped, or lost a match he would shut himself out for a few days, running for miles non stop. It even made his cousin concerned for him. Disappearing class for days, at the most weeks. Of course even though he wasn't doing anything, Wallace's father became suspicious, and so he could keep a close eye on him, he moved to Scottland from Rome with his brother's family. Living on the Gregorio Estate where both kids attend Aldridge Academy.

♛Eliza Valencia Jabiro
⚜Aka EJ ♛XVII ⚜Lesbian

This tale starts with Loretta and Michael, in the land of the rich of Potomac, Maryland at a 50s diner counter. He was the employee and she was the girl sitting by herself. Hours of endless mutual admiration from afar turned into days, and days turned into months and after a couple of dates at the club and a nice riverside dinner, Michael popped the question. Within two months of getting engaged, the couple was married. Eight months later they welcomed their little bundle of joy into the world, Eliza Valencia Jabiro. Both sides had powerful families with a lot of money, but the catch was both families didn't like each other. But, for the sake of theirfamilies kids publicity, they let the couple stay together. However, Eliza's parents decided that they didn't want to their child around that negative atmosphere because it was bad for such a little kid. They developed a plan and it came in the form of Flambeau, an upscale bar and eatery within a friend's hotel. So, the family uprooted to LA by the time EJ was six years old.

They moved to the mega city for beach babes, surf, and sex Los Angeles and they made sure that EJ was given the best of the best. The couple soon became public figures, her father the main bartender/chef for their restaurant and her mother the PR rep for the hotel. They conveyed to Eliza ever since she was little that whatever she did it was a direct reflection on them. As her parents grew in popularity and demand, Eliza was left alone in daycare,in elementary school and middle school. It was on these days of being left alone, where she would turn to music and dance looking for some solace from being lonely. Eliza eventually shelved dancing after her parents couldn't show up... for the 7th time. EJ grew with Beauty and Social Grace, and modeling agencies noticed. After begging her dad, he let her go and she was signed immediately to one of the modeling field's top agencies. Since her job required her to be freelance, Eliza had to be on flights and buses. But seeing as her parents thought education was important, Eliza had a tutor to travel with her.

With her modeling gig, it began the stages of her wild partying: Cancun, Milan, Ibiza, Paris. You name it, she's been there. Eliza took a complete 180 from the girl she was supposed to be and she let loose and had fun. Whilst over there, she started having... feelings for some of the other girls on the shoot and Eliza tried stamping them down. She was there to get her money and have fun. Fun it was indeed, so much that it was captured in a video of her drunkenly kissing on of the female models she was working on a shoot with.

When Eliza kissed this girl, maybe it was the liquor talking but she swore that it was the best kiss of her life. She craved more of her and of girls in general. When they were sober, they exchanged information and made it official on Instagram that they were seeing each other.

But of course, there would be hell to pay.

When her parents heard about this pending story, they were able to pay off the source easy. EJ, not so much. "Ladies of high stature need to have a man on their arm to love and cherish them, not a woman. It's simply unnatural." were the exact words said to her by the two who were allegedly supposed to love her through it all. So they decided to punish her by sending her away from her "bad influences" such as her friend group and girlfriend. They also coerced her into breaking up with her girlfriend and now the girl hates Eliza to her very core. And she hasn't heard the end of it yet. So EJ stamped down her "unnatural" urges, threw herself back into dancing and found a boy to date or so they thought. Loretta and Michael were elated, saying that this was the woman they longed for Eliza to become.

Then, after being on the road for about a year she entered high school in end of her sophomore year, beginning of her junior year at Aldridge Academy.

In the wake of her lonely summers at home, she found people who got her, who she shared her secrets with. Eliza found the family she really never had at Aldridge in the dance team and the women she wooed while away at school.

Still, EJ struggles with her parents and them accepting her but she now returns to school; being the captain of the dance team in her spare time and fully prepared to raise hell with her friends as she goes into her last year.

"And when you’re the most unhappy, someone walks into your life and shows you how beautiful you are"

☁Roman Aldridge   ☁19   ☁student
☪Jaime Ortiz

(view spoiler)

Roman has always done things on his own terms, in his own way. he doesn't depend on others to get things done. He's not a follower, he leads the way, and if he leaves others behind, well so be it. Roman will manipulate others to get what he wants, not caring who he hurts or dismisses in the process. He doesn't have a lot of thought for anyone but himself. Its always been him against the world, and he's used to that. If someone else came into his little world and managed to make him see someone besides himself, that would be something.

"To those walking in the rain, they need someone to walk with them more than an umbrella. To those crying to themselves, more than a handkerchief, they need someone to cry on."

❝A  Remembrance

The couple welcomed their son into the world at 3:32 pm, on a Sunday. He came into the world red faced and hollering, he had a head full of dark hair, and piercing blue/gray eyes. They took him home, expecting a couple of nights here and there with the boy crying, but it ended up being seven straight months of hell at night. He started his life as a hellion early, and it wouldn't change as time went on, it would only get worse. As a toddler Roman got into everything, if it was down to his level where he could reach it, he was grabbing it, if there was a cabinet open, or a door, then he was getting in there and making a mess of things. Once he was caught with toilet bowl cleaner in his mouth, his mom freaked out and called poison control, he had to have his stomach pumped. That was an awful experience, but it didn't stop him from getting into mischief.

Roman stayed childish and mischievous, even after starting school. He pulled little girls hair, hid their bows, put frogs in other students seats, teased those he felt were vulnerable. Roman was constantly getting sent to the office, it exasperated his father to no end. No matter how many talks the man had with his son, nothing seemed to deter the boy from making a mess of things.

As Roman grew, he started being more devious and secretive with how he messed with people. Sure he still got into trouble now and again, but not nearly as much as he did in the beginning. Roman was caught cheating on tests numerous times, defacing school property with spray cans, making out with girls behind the bleachers at age 11. He just couldn't seem to help himself when it came to bad choices, sometimes he dragged his sister down with him, Alyssa. She could be persuaded to join in with him on certain plots, one in particular was freshman year. Roman spiked the punch at a school dance, he'd sneaked his sister into it, and they'd watched as everyone became drunk and doing things they normally wouldn't. Admin was appalled, it didn't take them long to figure out what was wrong, but by that time Alyssa and Roman were long gone, and on the way out they filled the student presidents car up with shaving cream, making sure to leave no fingerprints behind.

Roman didn't go to any old school though, he went to Aldridge Academy, a school that was run by his family, and had been in the family for generations. He wasn't just representing himself while there, but the family name as well. His father was usually irate with Roman, and had barely any patience for the boy. Roman was put on school probation several times, not that he seemed to care. He still did whatever he wanted, not thinking about the consequences of his actions. Roman is behind a grade, and his father is hoping that he'll finish out this school year and graduate, moving onto better things, perhaps? Roman doesn't have plans past getting through the year, he hasn't given any thought to college, or a career outside of being a student. He's never been in a committed relationship, he has the reputation of being a player, and has no shame about it.

"And when you’re the most unhappy, someone walks into your life and shows you how beautiful you are"

☁Matthias Bourne   ☁17   ☁North Carolina
☁Male   ☁Heterosexual   ☁Year 12
☪Cole Sprouse

(view spoiler)

Matthias is an introverted, lovable, panda bear that loves to cuddle with those he knows well. He can be kind of clingy in social situations or very distant and closed off, depending on who is around. He's only had a handful of close friends in his life, and he cherishes them all. Matthias can become very anxious, very fast, hes known to have full blown, crippling panic attacks. He not only has "general anxiety" but Social anxiety as well. Its held him back in life a few times, but he does his best to cope with it. He has things he does to help him cope, one of those things being writing. One of his friendly habits that he takes up when extremely anxious is smoking, but not many know about this bad habit of his.

"To those walking in the rain, they need someone to walk with them more than an umbrella. To those crying to themselves, more than a handkerchief, they need someone to cry on."

❝A  Remembrance ❞

Matthias Bourne was a cute baby boy, adored by his mother, loved by his father. The little family was located in Ashville, North Carolina. A town that was known for its creativity and charm. Matt didnt have any cousins, or aunts and uncles, even his grandparents were deceased. So it was him and his parents, and their immediate friends, that was who he grew up around. His best friend was Jamie, a boy a few houses over, the two boys grew up together, since their moms were best friends. They had playdates constantly, and started prek together when it was time. When Matt got bullied on the playground, it was Jamie who helped him get back up and dust himself off. It was also Jamie who went and punched said bully in the nose. The two boys were like brothers, and where Matt was shy and introverted, Jamie was loud and extremely extroverted, so they were the perfect balance for one another.

Matthias was eleven the first time that he went into a full blown panic attack, he had been at a friends birthday party. The atmosphere was too overwhelming, and he shutdown, he started shaking, his heart was racing, his palms were sweaty, Jamie found him in a corner curled up. Matt's mom took him to the hospital, where they found out that he had had a panic attack, after that he was required to see a therapist, and was put on medication to help with his anxiety, after being diagnosed. Matthias wasn't really into talking about what he considered his handicap, if Jamie brought it up, he changed the subject, pretending that there was nothing wrong with him. He liked to pretend that his thoughts didn't keep him up at night, that he didn't wake in sweating fits because his anxiety has creeped into his dreams at night. Matthias is really good at pretending, pretending he's fine, pretending he's normal. Sometimes one would think he was, if only they could see what was going on in his mind.

Matthias made a new friend in middle school, her name was Sarah, and she would become one of his closest friends. She was gay, and one of the brightest people in Matt's life. She shined, much like Jamie, except in a different way. She was all sweet, and sunshine, she made Matt laugh, and feel at ease, they cuddled watching movies, they danced in the middle of his room when no one was looking, they cried over books together, and told each other their deepest secrets. Jamie was still Matt's best friend, but so was Sarah, the three of them spent a lot of time together through middle school, and the first year of high school.

It only took one night of idiocy to ruin their lives. They'd been to a party, Sarah wanted to leave early, she'd had a few drinks, so she went to drive herself home. Jamie and Matt didn't think anything of it, figuring they'd see her in the morning. But Sarah was under the influence and ended up crashing into a light pole, killing her instantly. Matthias was devastated, he didn't know what to do, how to cope with the death of his best friend. He felt at fault, he felt that he could've stopped her, that he should have. He apologized to her parents so many times that they finally blocked his number, and refused to see him. Matt became even more introverted than usual, not seeing even Jamie, if it could be helped. He went to school, and then would hide in his room with his writing and books, smoking his nights away, thinking of the girl that had brightened his life, and then darkened it eternally. It went this way for almost two years before his parents decided that Matt needed a change, they signed him up to go away to a boarding school, somewhere that he could start over, become someone else, find new friends. Matthias isn't thrilled over this change in his life, but he's not exactly opposed to it either, maybe being away from everything familiar will help him get out of his funk.

One person can’t change the world, but you can become another person’s world. A warm, bright, and peaceful world. If all people could be someone’s bright, peaceful, good world, one becomes ten, and then a hundred, and the good world grows

✿Mila Jameson    ✿14    ✿Paris France

(view spoiler)

Mila has a sweet nature, she's one of those girls that people flock to naturally. She is a good person, and would help anyone that asked her, she would give the shirt off her back to help someone else. She has a lot of compassion for others, and is empathetic. She cares deeply for those that are in her life, and would do anything for her family. Some say that Mila has an old soul, she seems so much more mature than her age, and she has a slight obsession with the past. She loves anything vintage, her room is full of old things, she especially collects vintage records and vintage clothes.

To some people love is like a sign of victory, like a medal or trophy, they like to use to boast about. To some people love is a process of waiting endlessly for the other person with all their heart. To that woman love is a secret that can’t be exposed to others, not even to herself

❝A  Remembrance ❞

Mila Jameson was born in Paris, France. Her parents were both Americans, but they had settled in Paris, loving the city. Mila was a round cheeked, wide eyed, baby. She had blonde, curly hair, and from the time she could laugh, others were laughing with her, because her laugh was that infectious. She was a sweet baby, not too much trouble for her parents, though she was partially raised by her aunt, who subbed in as a nanny. Mila's parents were both entrepreneurs, they were busy a lot. Though they did make sure to have one family dinner a week, no matter what was going on, they made sure to make time for their daughter and each other once a week. Mila loved her parents, but she loved her aunt more, at least that was what she came to believe as she grew. Her aunt was the rock in her life, the person she could count on no matter what.

Her aunt was also the person that introduced her to the word 'vintage'. She took Mila to antique shops from the time she could walk, showing her the past, they would also watch old movies together, enjoying the classics together. Mila began collecting vintage vinyls when she was nine, that was the year that she got a record player for her birthday from her aunt. After that she scoped out all kinds of shops for the vintage records that she recognized, she eventually began collecting recently released vinyls as well, but she still preferred older music. Music from the 1930's and 40's really intrigued her, so did the movies from these years. She began collecting older clothes when she was 12, snooping for the best vintage clothes she could find at the antique and thrift shops of Paris. Her parents thought that she lived too much in the past, while her aunt encouraged her obsession, and loved that she could appreciate more than just the here and now.

Mila had a few friends growing up, but not many. She was in her own little world half the time, and her aunt kept her constant company. Her parents became concerned for their daughter as she grew, and didn't seem to be joining the social world. They wanted her to be more sociable, to have friends, to go to parties, to join clubs, to do more normal things for a girl her age. So when she turned 14 they decided that they would begin researching boarding schools. Aldridge came highly recommended, and it would give her a foot into some of the best colleges when she graduated. They decided it was the best decision for Mila, and sent her away, to join clubs, to find friends, maybe fall in love a time or two. Her aunt was devastated, Mila isn't sure how to feel about it yet. She's rather in shock over her parents just sending her away, without her consent. She's brought along some of her favorite albums, a camera, and some of her favorite vintage dresses and floppy hats.

She doesn't just go along with whatever someone else says, she makes her own, informed decisions. She's definitely a leader, not a follower, she has guts and makes herself known. While she's not exactly extroverted, she's not introverted either, she's somewhere in the middle. Callie is confident in who she is and the decisions she makes, she never goes back on her word. If she says she's going to do something, she does it, unless its literally life or death. Callie isn't exactly a people pleaser, she does as she wants and if others don't like it, well that's their problem. Callie has always made her own way in life, its hard for her to lean on others, and to take strength from them, she is very independent, and she likes it that way.

To some people love is like a sign of victory, like a medal or trophy, they like to use to boast about. To some people love is a process of waiting endlessly for the other person with all their heart. To that woman love is a secret that can’t be exposed to others, not even to herself

❝A  Remembrance ❞

Callie grew up in a family of eight in Vancouver, she had five other siblings, three girls, two boys. She was the youngest out of the siblings, and was definitely the baby. She was worried over and cooed over a lot as a baby. She soon showed that she wasn't one to be babied though, as soon as she was up walking, she was off doing her own thing, not wanting help from anyone. Her parents were a bit disconcerted by how independent she was, they wanted their 'baby' to be more dependent, to need them. Callie was going to be their last, and they wanted to coddle her as long as they could. Callie had other plans though, and didn't take to the baby like attitude. She had an attitude alright, but it was more sassy and 'I'm going to do this on my own' type attitude. The only sibling that she let really baby her was her brother that was close in age, Michael. The two were close, growing up together, and doing much as a team. Michael taught her how to crawl and walk, he taught her how to talk as well. If Callie was anywhere dependent on anyone, it was him. She rarely showed that side of her though, preferring to do her own thing and learn by doing, not by someone telling her.

Callie was nine when she broke her first bone, she'd been attempting different things on her skateboard, and when she went off her homemade ramp, she fell wrong and broke her arm. Her parents had warned her that skateboarding was dangerous, but she'd gone and done risky moves anyway. They tried to reign her in, but it did no good. Callie was going to do what Callie wanted to do, and no one was going to stop her. She tried out biking, rollerblading, cliff climbing, and several other hobbies that made her parents hearts race. Her favorites were cliff climbing and running. Running gave her endorphins that helped with her high emotions, especially when she got angry, which seemed to happen often in a house of six kids. Callie wasn't into the whole 'family night' thing that her parents set up as they grew, she would find excuses to skip that night, or feign sick so that she could hide in her room and write in her journal. Callie didn't feel like she fit in with her crazy family, the only one she connected with was Michael, and as they grew older, the further apart the two seemed to become. Michael found his own friends, and Callie had hers, she also made decisions that her brother would never make.

She began partying at 11 years old, nothing too bad, just some beers, and loud music on the beach. Sometimes she'd go out on yachts with her friends, and they'd party all night long, passing out in the early morning. They usually had an older sibling with them supervising in some way or another. At 15 Callie became more of a problem child than anything else, going out on school nights to smoke pot and get drunk with her friends. She broke into a couple of houses, and got caught, she was charged and put on probation. Try as her parents might, they couldn't seem to get a handle on their rambunctious teenager. Being put on probation didn't scare Callie, and it was only for six months, with some community service. It wouldn't stick to her record, since she was a minor, she knew that, so it didn't worry her. Callie continued to sneak out and do whatever she wanted, that is until her parents decided to take things into their own hands. They signed Callie up for a boarding school across seas, far away from home. Callie was furious that summer, she acted out more than usual, and was rarely home, she hated her parents for making such an extreme decision without her consent. She has no plans on behaving at the new school either, she plans on making mistakes, hanging out with the wrong people, and not making any friends. She's decided that she will be as rebellious as possible during her stay at Aldridge. Little does she know, that she might actually like the school, and she might enjoy being on the soccer team.

For a singer that's been in and out of singing championships and recitals since she was seven, Suji is really horrible at social interactions and making friends. She partly blames it on the fact that her childhood wasn't particularly normal. Her parents were drug addicts that ended up being taken to a rehabilitation center and did some prison time. Because of that, Suji was given to the government and put into the foster system.

She's been in and out of four foster homes, always being the good child, but always ending up in rough homes that couldn't keep her for very long. Ten years later, her parents were clean and sober, and they were granted the rights to their daughter back, so now Suji is back with her parents, but... it doesn't feel like a family when they're together, most likely because they were separated for too long.

It's needless to say that the school's auditorium is her escape, her safe-spot. Every chance she gets, she spends in that building and is either practicing her music or just simply working on the homework that she'll probably never turn in. Detention is her second favorite spot, but she doesn't like people to know that she gets detention as much as she actually does.

sixteen. female. pansexual. a mess.                  |                    G.B. FC

Xiomara is spontaneous in the way that someone would consider an absolute mess that's still standing to be. After her mother died when she was five and her father practically bailed on her, she couldn't find it in herself to have a role model, someone to tell her right from wrong. Even her aunt, her current guardian, hardly pays attention to her because she's too busy running her company. So it's really no question why Xiomara constantly comes late to school, has a wrinkled uniform on, not enough lunch money, and missing her homework.

However, don't let that distract you from the fact that she is an amazing friend and person to be around. Not only is she open-minded and sees the faith in people, Xiomara's extremely loving and affectionate, and when she's with a group of people, there's no doubt that she's braiding someone's hair, leaning on their shoulder, or holding their hand. Xiomara's affection comes partly from her fear of being alone and partly because it helps her cope with her clinical anxiety.

Her weaknesses are her anxiety and the fact that she's prone to mass disorganization, and the personal belongings that she's brought with her is a charm bracelet that she adds a new charm to every anniversary of her mother's death and an empty pack of cigarettes, which was the only thing her father left when he walked out of her life.

Ross, firstly, goes by Ross. Not McKenzie. That's just what the attendance sheets, birth certificates, and mothers call him. Anyone else, call him Ross or face nightmares filled with terrible violin playing for the rest of your days. Ross isn't much of a person at first glance and is seemingly basic. Olive skin, brown hair, tall-ish. His grades are good, but he's not obsessed, he doesn't play sports, and he only has so many friends. Quite frankly, if he isn't holding an instrument, I see no reason to give him a second glance. Ross is a master of the string family. That, and the piano, which he argues with everyone that it is in the string family because it has strings in it (I mean, he's not wrong.) His favorite instrument is the violin, and he brought his own custom built one that he received on his twelfth birthday, and it is his most prized possession. He literally hangs it on a plaque about his bed. Along with his precious violin, Ross also brought along a miniature harp that sits on his nightstand. Rumor has it that if you can't sleep at night, he'll bring it over and play you a lullaby.
˖˖˖˖ weaknesses : Ross doesn't possess very good leadership skills (unless he is in front of an orchestra for some reason), he's very allergic to bees, and he lacks self-confidence it pretty much every aspect. Except for music. That, he knows he is talented in.
˖˖˖˖ strengths : any instrument with a string is literally his playground, he can magically remain calm in literally any situation at all, and he is literally so polite it would almost touch Mr. Aldridge.
Ross is a sweet boy, with very good manners. He can be somewhat of a people pleaser, but he certainly knows when he's being walked all over and won't hesitate to go completely ghost on someone when he thinks their relationship is toxic. All he really wants to do is bring home good grades to Mum back in England, play with his orchestra friends, and enjoy a good sandwich every now and then. Bacon, lettuce, tomato, with provolone and turkey. Don't forget the mayo. Also, if you cut it into triangles, he will literally fall in love with you.

Kieran is a proud, self-entitled and fairly obnoxious individual. He’s well known at school for his confident demeanour, misplaced ego and terribly flirty nature. From a young age he’s been spoiled, always getting exactly what he wants and nothing has changed since then. If there’s something Kieran desires he will almost certainly take it. He remains a passionate and driven individual, focussed on his football and his beloved team, but also aspiring to success. Though he appears the typical, boisterous football idiot, he is particularly clever - a dangerous combination when coupled with his stellar good-looks and own self importance. Kieran was the youngest of three brothers and often found himself pushed around by two giant older siblings. He credits them for helping him grow a backbone and toughening him up, though that might explain his hot headed nature and tendency to get into scrapes. Kieran considers himself the best of the bunch and this pretentious nature hasn’t garnered him something of a reputation. He’s well know for disliking the scholarship kids and for preying on those who don’t possess the funds that he does. Are there any redeeming qualities? That’s really remains to be seen...

The Warner family is the second richest family behind the Aldridge's, a fact that is well known amongst the local residents and even more so by those at the school. Robert Warner and Sarah Cavendish married after meeting at the prestigious academy and produced three boys in quick succession, the youngest being Kieran. Growing up in the shadow of his older siblings Kieran was known for being cheeky, rebellious and highly ambitious. As he saw his brothers reach successful heights, he too wanted to be just like them. He was spoiled as a child and perhaps even more so as teen, lavished with gifts such as expensive watches and luxury cars, Kieran was never taught the value of money, or anything else for that matter. He grew up believing that he could have anything in the world if he so chose, a mindset that has stuck with him even as he aged.

Though known as the ring leader amongst his peers, the chauvinist, the party animal and the rule breaker, Kieran has never once got into trouble at the school. His parents paid for the new science wing and this has granted him something of an immunity amongst the teachers and staff at the academy. Despite his arrogant nature and egocentric demeanour there's something about Kieran that draws people to him. Since starting at the school he's always found himself surrounded by a solid group of friends, he's popular, well-liked but also resented by many in private. Kieran doesn't care a great deal about what people think of him, those values were instilled in him by his brothers who got far by throwing other people under the bus. Kieran certainly isn't against putting other people in the firing line if it means he gets his own way.

He currently splits his time between the Academy and his parents modern mansion out on the shores of Loch Lomond. His brothers have since moved to London and with his parents often holidaying on the Amalfi Coast Kieran is pretty free to do as he pleases. He has ambition to go into law at somepoint in the future though hopes to go travelling first and 'find himself'. He's an ambitious individual and will undoubtedly get what he wants eventually. In the mean time though he's happy to party, hang with his friends and pick fights with the scholarship kids. Look out Aldridge, Warner's back for another year.

Caleb is usually the lively one of the bunch, he has such energy and a light to him that others are attracted to. He can be the goofball in the group, he likes to joke around, and can be found playing pranks on his friends now and again. Caleb has mostly girls as friends, he relates to them more than he does guys. Guys usually get jealous, because he seems too 'flirty' with their girlfriends. He's mostly just friendly, and does little things for his friends that get misconstrued as flirting or him hitting on them. He does dozens of things for his best friend Priya all the time, and she doesn't seem to take any of it as flirting. Caleb is just a good guy, and there are those that can't recognize that. Caleb trusts easily, he gives others the benefit of the doubt, and then sometimes pays the price later.

"To those walking in the rain, they need someone to walk with them more than an umbrella. To those crying to themselves, more than a handkerchief, they need someone to cry on."

❝A  Remembrance ❞

The perfect little boy was born on June 6, he had dark, unruly hair, deep, hazelnut eyes, and an olive complexion. His mother smiled when his tiny fist wrapped around her finger for the first time. Dark lashes made crescent moons on chubby cheeks, as he slept through the first night in the hospital, it was a miracle, the nurses were awed that the infant slept through the night. Caleb ended up being that way through most of his infant months, he would sleep through the night, into the early morning. His mom was thankful to have such an easy baby, she heard outrageous stories from her friends, about how they were up all night and struggling to get just a few hours of sleep every day. Caleb learned to walk at 7 months, his mom didn't get any breaks there, he was into everything once he could run around like everyone else. He had a few playdates at this point, but not really any friends. That came later...

Caleb's mom was getting him dressed in a pair of shorts, suspenders, a bow-tie, and a pair of brown boots, the little boy could not for the life of him figure out why he had to be so dressed up. She explained that anytime you went to a tea part with a young lady, you should look your best. Caleb didn't really see the point in such things, if they were going to be outside, which she had said they would, then he was going to get dirty, and looking like this, well usually meant not getting dirty. Caleb was annoyed, and crawled under his bed while his mom got ready, she didn't find him till a half an hour later, curled up asleep under the toddler bed. He had made them late! She didn't discipline him though, she just laughed and picked up the snuggle bug as she took him out to the car and buckled him in. They headed down the street, all of two minutes. They got out, he was bleary eyed and still yawning when they came upon the other mom and her daughter. Caleb learned, as he barely paid attention, that her name was Priya, at first he didn't really glance at her at all. Upon a second look though he found himself thoroughly entranced with the little girl with the dark hair, she was like a princess. Caleb was shy, as was she, they flitted around their mothers skirts for the first hour, stealing looks at one another, but not talking. As their mothers got into more depth conversation though, the children became acquainted and played together, rolling and laughing together, getting their outfits mussed, but not caring.

Their friendship didn't stop there, it only developed. The two had sleepovers on some nights, and met one another every Sunday for tea with their mothers. It wasn't until they were both shipped off to boarding school, the same one, that they held these traditions on their own, together. Even being that far away from home, they took time out of their Sundays to go to the cafe and have tea together, or Priya would hold a small tea party in her dorm, sneaking Caleb in. Usually they would binge watch Netflix afterwards, cuddled up on the couch, as friends only of course. They were the best of friends, hardly ever hurting the others feelings, Caleb went out of his way to do little things for Priya, not just because he was a good friend, but also because he felt he had a one sided love for her. Caleb had been in love with his best friend since he'd met her so long ago. Though he would never tell her that, because it would ruin what they had, especially since she didn't return that feeling, it would make it to where they would not have any more afternoons of tea, or binge watching movies together, or laughing over cocoa and marshmallows. He couldn't bare the thought of losing her, it was better to keep her close and not actually have her, than to not have her in his life at all.

At first glance, especially with her bitch face, Priya may look like, well, a bitch. But it's certainly just because she's shy, and is probably a little nervous to talk to you. But once you really get to know Priya you'll know just how much of a fun-loving, super energetic, sweet little person she is. No matter how sarcastic she can be at times, Priya will always have your back, and she may even bake you a cupcake--though only her best friend Caleb has received his own cupcakes. Priya, although seemingly goody-two-shoes, is actually a very big thrill seeker, and with the right coaxing, can be talked into almost anything. That, or you can just tell her how great it'll be and since Priya is super gullible, she'll totally believe you. Just don't say anything that'll end in her getting mad. Although she tends to bottle up her feelings, things can be quite hectic once she explodes, and it's wise to either call her best friend or run for cover. But usually, the only thing you really have to worry about when it comes to Priya is getting in her way mid-tumble. She will not stop her art just to save your nose. Just ask Timothy how he spent his Christmas break during year 8.
˖˖˖˖ weaknesses : too trusting and gullible, has trouble expressing her feelings, coffee drinks, and Caleb.
˖˖˖˖ strengths : gymnastics, endurance (both physically and mentally), baking, and she is very well-balanced (thank u beam)
˖˖˖˖ belongings : her favorite tea set in the world, given to her by her late grandmother. it's white and tiffany blue, which is her favorite color. she also has this pretty scarf from India, which her father purchased from a shop where the owner was named Priya, and he bought it to commemorate his best discovery during his career.
Priya's father is a world-renowned doctor. Slash scientist. Not really, but for a doctor, he sure does a lot of research in her opinion. He's always flying out and finding out about these new diseases or curing old ones. Sometimes he does both at once. Frankly, Priya would be completely okay if he all he did was check her height and weight and offer a flu shot. But then again, if that was all he did, he would've never traveled to India and learned the most beautiful name he's ever heard. And so, Priya was born and named Priya. "It's Sanskrit! Isn't that cool?"

Priya doesn't remember much from before Aldridge. Everything is mushed together, all the Barbie dolls, birthdays, and tea parties. Oh, those were her favorite memories. She still remembers the very first one, on the brightest Sunday (which would soon become her favorite day of the week) the world had ever seen. Priya's mother had made tea plans with Mrs. Jenson, a pretty woman who lived a few houses down and had dragged in Priya. The gazebo was delicately decorated, with all the pretty doilies a child could admire, but for some reason, her mother had set up four seats and this at first confused Priya. Mrs. Jenson had been over their home before, if she had a daughter why hadn't Priya met her before? And then Priya met him. Caleb Jenson, who would soon become her favorite human being, appeared in the doorway rubbing his eyes and apologizing for being late--he fell asleep by accident. Priya didn't talk much at first, of course, she was far too shy, but after her mom convinced her to run off and play with Caleb, she opened up. And they hung out every Sunday after and became the bestest of friends.

Priya and Caleb got along better than anyone would've guessed. Caleb would gladly count how many flips Priya could do in a row. And Priya would gladly help Caleb with any prank he had brainstormed. It's no wonder that when the time came for boarding school, they both attended Aldridge. For the past five years, Priya has done nothing but tumble, study, bake cupcakes, and fall in love with Caleb. Or did she always love Caleb? Eh, no matter. Just don't let her know I told you. Caleb's been her best friend since before she could do a full back tuck, or since before she could finesse on the beam. The last thing she needs is some little crush to come in the way of their friendship, distract her from school, and end their Sunday tea dates--which yes, they've consistently had ever since the day they met.

16 / barista @ time for tea / year 12

Stephanie has a lot on her plate. She's in numerous clubs, is taking as many advanced classes as possible, studies every single day, and works part time as a barista to top it off. To call her busy would be an understatement. And when she's not busy, you can count on her to find something to fix that. As unhealthy as that may seem, it's gotten her far. Going from a public school in Chicago to studying at Aldridge Academy is a pretty impressive feat.

Her lifestyle really is unhealthy, though. She's always overworked and tired and never really has time for anything other than work or school. Of course, she tries her hardest to hide any signs of a struggle, but it's really not that hard to notice her on the edge of sleep in 8:00🇦.🇲. German. Or that she has been skipping breakfast entirely. Or that the clubs she's in are really just big study groups. Or that she brushes everything off with a pained smile and a wave of the hand: "It's really not that hard."

Abigail Langley is a clever, confident and highly ambitious young girl. She's well liked at Aldridge, known for her kind nature, pleasant demeanour and winning smile. Not one to make enemies, Abigail tries to get along with everyone and is often the peacemaker when tensions rise amongst her friendship group. She's a good listener and people often gravitate to her in times of need, whether that's to talk or ask for advice, Abi is always happy to lend an ear. Something of the school's sweetheart, Abigail's winning personality has garnered her lots of admiration both from her peers and her teachers. There's a lot of expectation placed on her shoulders, but Abi is as ambitious as they come and hopes to fulfil those predictions.

Though she runs with the bitchy, popular crowd, Abigail isn't one to be arrogant or conceited. She tries to see the best in people and believes that even the likes of Kieran Warner have good qualities, some buried deeper than others. Some might consider Abigail a bit of a hypocrite, she comes across as this sweet, lovely girl and yet she surrounds herself by cruel, egocentric individuals. She's not the type to stand up to those in power, especially her wealthy, highly regarded friends and this has earned her some criticism in the past. Abigail knows she ought to just focus on her studies and leave the Queen Bee title at the door, unfortunately she's not quite ready to give up that crown.

Abigail Langley was born in the bountiful Kent countryside, the first born daughter of business owners Richard and Charlotte Langley. Her parents were both from wealthy families and made their fortune creating and selling designer handbags and leathers. Abigail grew up in an expansive stately home on the border of Kent and Sussex, living a life of luxury and catered for by her parents many staff and nannies. Abigail was the apple of her parent's eye, they loved her excessively, and it showed in the many spoils they gave their daughter. From clothes, to toys, to horses, Abigail had whatever her young heart desired. She was treated like royalty in the family home and that treatment only continued with the birth of her younger sister. There were just over three years between the two girls, but Abigail loved the younger girl from the moment she set eyes on her. The two share a blissfully happy sisterhood for the remainder of their early years.

By the mid-2000's the Langley brand had garnered enough wealth for Richard and Charlotte to retire in their early forties. Abigail's parents used that time to raise their family, dedicating every hour to making the girls lives as perfect as possible. Both girls attended a private school in Kent during their formative years, learning under the guidance of school masters and experts in the teaching field. Abigail showed promise from a young age, a keen dancer, horsewoman and with a knack for learning and retaining information. She was fifteen when her parents decided to uproot the family and move them into a creaky old house in Scotland. Abigail and her sister were initially devastated, forced to leave behind their friends and grandparents, and made to share a bedroom whilst the house was being renovated. But in time, the house was finished, Abigail and her sister were placed at Aldridge Academy and the idea of starting afresh was suddenly exciting for the girls.

Joining the school in Year 10, one might have expected Abigail to struggle fitting in. Her arrival, however, was quite the opposite. She threw herself into the school clubs and activities, and soon found herself amongst the most popular students at the school. Students she has remained friends with to this day. Though she never shared in the arrogance or the banter of her school friends, Abigail was never quick to scold them either. She's not about to risk her reputation by berating them for their actions. Thankfully she has her white knight Toby to do that for her.

Abigail had her eye on Toby from the day she started at Aldridge, captivated by his warm hazel eyes and tousled dark hair. There was more to him than just his good looks though, he was sweet and loyal, and also brave. One of the few people who would stand up to his friends, even if it meant them dragging him for it afterwards. A lot of guys asked Abigail out but she turned down every one of them, that was until Toby finally plucked up the courage to ask her out at the end of year eleven. The two have been dating ever since and have cemented themselves as Aldridge's notorious 'it' couple. Two years on and they're still as close as they ever were, Abigail aspires to nab the coveted Head Girl spot and she's got Toby supporting her the whole way. After a summer spent apart whilst she holidays in Australia, Abigail can't wait to get back to her school, her friends and her man. She only hopes her final year will be a good as the rest!

Tobias has a sweet, but fierce personality. He may seem like the average nice guy, but he isn't afraid to speak his mind, or to tell someone off if they need it. Tobias is a loyal friend, and will stick up for those close to him in a heartbeat, as well as those that just look like they may need a hero. Tobias is loyal to a point, though he doesn't put up with bull from anyone, including his friends, he's completely honest and tells it how it is. As his girlfriend can attest to, Tobias is very adventurous, he loves to take road trips, go hiking, camping, rock climbing, ect. Especially if she's going along with him, he's dedicated fully to his girlfriend Abigail, and doesn't know how he lived without her before. He would go to the ends of the earth for her and still feel like he should do more. Tobias is completely and irrevocably in love with Abigail, no one can convince him otherwise. He has an air about him that demands attention, and he doesn't even have to try.

"To those walking in the rain, they need someone to walk with them more than an umbrella. To those crying to themselves, more than a handkerchief, they need someone to cry on."

❝A  Remembrance ❞

Tobias was raised by a single mother, she had him right out of college, and already had her PHD in Psychology, so it was easy for her to take care of him financially. It took a little more effort on the spending enough time with him part, but she did what she could, and tried to be home as much as possible when not at work. She had a live in nanny for him, who was very attached to the little guy, he was to her too. Though more as a big sister than a mom, he knew who his mom was and loved her to death. Tobias went on work trips with his mom and everything, the two were very close. So when Tobias started preschool, it was hard on both of them. Tobias missed his mom when he started school, but he was a natural with making friends. He had an easy time interacting with those around him, and caught on quickly to the curriculum. Soon enough he was being asked to go on play dates and to birthday parties, being the popular kid, even in preschool.

As the years went by, Tobias only grew in popularity, keeping his grades up, and participating in sports. He also made time to have dinner with his mom at least three times a week, and they went on a date of sorts, once a week. Tobias was 11 when his mom found an excellent boarding school to send him away to. At first Tobias was defiant and hurt that his mom was sending him away, she explained that it was to get him a better education and a high recommendation for later on, when he went to college. Tobias was still hurt, but accepted the fact that he was about to be sent overseas to a school he'd never heard of, let alone been to. Aldridge Academy wasn't as bad as he thought it would be, sure he had to make all new friends, and get to know new teachers and staff, but the dorms were more than comfortable, his needs were met, and he made friends easily. It took only half the year, and he was one of the most popular kids in his grade. As the years passed he found himself sticking with the same crowd, growing up, and becoming someone that he could be proud of. Tobias was one of the few kids that stood up for others, and that other kids came to for advice.

It wasn't until year 11 that things really changed for him, he became interested in a girl, her name was Abigail, and needless to say, Tobias was head over feet for her. She was beautiful, charismatic, had a good heart, made great grades, and the right decisions. She liked to do some of the same things that he did, they just clicked. He wasn't sure if she was as interested in him as he was in her, but a little birdy whispered in his ear and told him that yes, she liked him, a lot. So at Christmas break he rented the Time for Tea cafe out, making sure that no one else was there, he could have had a chef come in a cook for them, but he kept it simple. Tobias packed a picnic basket, all by himself, and decorated the cafe on his own, with candles and flowers, he then led Abigail into the cafe, blindfolded, and led her to a chair. After she was sat down he asked her to take the blindfold off. Her expression read as surprised when she did so, Tobias was pleased with her reaction, and then popped the question, would she be his girlfriend? He didn't even have to wait a second, it was an instant yes! The two started dating then and there, as they ate the packed dinner, and shared their dreams with one another. They've been dating ever since, and are very close. They're kind of the 'it' couple in school, and part of the popular crowd. Tobias still sticks up for those in need, and isn't afraid to state his opinion.

He doesn't have the healthiest of coping mechanisms -- reckless driving, reckless drinking, reckless hookups -- and he masks that by poking fun at the students around him... even though he knows he's just like them.

She remembers forehead kisses from her father, the smell of her mother's perfume (it always made her sneeze), and how, when she cried while on an airplane, they scolded her. But she also remembers conversations she knows she's never had, events that she knows they weren't at, and fantasizes about the moment she comes home from school and sees her parents at the kitchen table, smiling and laughing.

Her mother is in prison for fraud and embezzlement, some allegedly "accidentally misplaced" zeroes and some "borrowed" blank checks and files of signatures that "just appeared" keeping her locked up for, well, a long while. Her father is nowhere to be found; he simply drained most of the family funds and disappeared. The only upside of the situation was that she became much closer with her siblings, especially her oldest brother, Elijah.

𝙎𝙤 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙛𝙤𝙘𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚, Fiona dedicates her time to more productive things: academics. Spurred on by her aunt and uncle, as well as her siblings, she pushed herself to learn as much as she could -- who needs parties when you have Encyclopædia Britannica and National Geographic? At home and in her spare time, especially when she's stressed, Fiona practices karate; at Aldridge, she goes for runs, often being found on the grounds jogging at dawn.

𝙒𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙗𝙞𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙞𝙘 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙡, Fiona thrives when it comes to learning new things. Her ability to pick up new languages is stunning, and she knows it -- after Aldridge, she plans on studying language and linguistics, given how much of a wunderkind she is already. Fiona, amazingly, speaks or understands seven languages, including English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, and Czech, with plans to branch out into Cyrillic-based languages when she has the time.
