Joanna Loves Reading (joannalovesreading) | 1109 comments Hi all! Starting up the monthly discussions for September 2018 book-of-the-month suggestions. This discussion is for the CLASSICS CATEGORY.

As a reminder, books that qualify for this category must have a publication date 1969 or before. For newer books, please make your suggestion on the Modern Classic/Popular Reads thread.

Not a hard and fast rule, but please try to limit your nominations to one book per category. But please do second any that interest you!

For this category, let’s try to keep the nominations to books in the public domain, which generally includes books published 100 years or more ago. Essentially if you can find it on Project Gutenberg, it’s in the public domain. This will make them easier for everyone to get a copy of since we will have less time than typical.

Nominations end 9 PM PDT August 5.

Jen from Quebec :0) (muppetbaby99) | 68 comments So...are we allowed to vote more than once!? Sorry, I am confused, I guess. I already put in my vote, but I see that some people give their support to 2 or 3 books in one message...In those cases, do the mods just use the 1st book they've listed as that person's 1 vote?? So sorry to bother! Thanks. --Jen from Quebec

Great question Jen! You can still second as many books that interest you but only put one up for nomination. The books with the most seconds will be up to vote at the end of nomination period so seconds are important too.
