Answer the last question asked and then pose one of your own. I'll start.

Would you rather read outside on a warm sunny day or inside when it's pouring rain?

Marcia Austin (shanamon) | 1321 comments Do you prefer shifters or vampires?

message 4: by Marnee (new)

Marnee (marnee1369) Q1) I enjoy both inside and outside provided I have an actual book in my hand drives me nuts having to read off of my phone and I only leave that option for when I don't have a book.

Q2) I generally prefer to read shifters over vampires but I find the best books has both in them

message 5: by M.H. (new)

M.H. Barton (auguy86) | 8 comments Inside and it's not even close. I'm such a homebody. Going out into the world, even just to read, you have to deal with... other people!!!

message 6: by Marcia (new)

Marcia Austin (shanamon) | 1321 comments Definitely shifters

Dragon, Bears or Wolves?

message 7: by Terrie (new)

Terrie Meerschaert | 585 comments I'm partial to wolves, but love dragons too.

Would you rather vacation at a resort or in a secluded cabin?

message 8: by Marnee (new)

Marnee (marnee1369) I enjoy all three but I read more wolves and I have always wanted to go to a secluded cabin.

Which retelling do people prefer fairytale, ghost or scary stories

Agreed.

#2. I love both vamps and shifters... can't really prefer one to the other. Thus, my love for Kate Daniels !!!

message 10: by Val (new)

Val (momof2pups) | 3 comments Inside during a rainstorm; wolves & dragons & vampires; definitely a resort so I can be pampered by staff while reading on the beach or poolside.

Nicola Rose | 3 comments Definitely inside during the rain... snuggled up with some vampires :)

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Terrie Meerschaert | 585 comments Inside for both. I get burned in the sunshine, similar to vamps. LOL

Madmax1981 | 32 comments Can i go out on a raining day while reading underneath a willow tree??

message 20: by Next2Happy (new)

Next2Happy | 10 comments Inside during the rain for sure.

Vamps or shifters is hard it depends on the day.

I’m always up for Dragons!

message 21: by Chloe (new)

Chloe Balkin (chloealicebalkin) | 21 comments 1) Inside on all accounts. I read on my phone. Outside is trickier.
2) Shifters. More versatile.
3) BEARS. Although I actually prefer series that cast entire zoos.
4) Cabin. I'm not going to complain about a resort, but I'm a workaholic and cabins are great for still getting stuff done.
5) Fairy tales.

message 22: by Chloe (new)

Chloe Balkin (chloealicebalkin) | 21 comments Angels or Demons?

kittykat AKA Jo Tortitude | 137 comments Cool thread, surprised it hasn't had more hits.

>Outside
>Bed (more comfy)
>Beach
>SHIFTERS! I still love me a vamp though.
>... Felines. I'm a cat person. But I prefer a variety overall a la Shelley Laurenston.
>Resort
>I don't have any preference for retellings...
>Angels... cause they can be bad too and I love me some wings!

Tea or coffee?
Wine or beer?
Still or sparkling?

message 24: by M.L. (new)

M.L. Gabrielle | 52 comments As long as I have a book in my hand, I'm a happy girl. I get so wrapped up in my books that I rarely pay attention to what's going on around me. ;)

message 25: by Nix (new)

Nix Buttons (nixbuttons) | 1 comments 1a) Would you rather read outside on a warm sunny day or inside when it's pouring rain?
-> sun is overrated, definitely inside during rain
1b) By the pool or in bed?
-> always the bed
1c) On the beach or in a library?
-> in a library with comfy chairs or couches
2) Shifters or vampires?
-> shifters!
3) Shifters: dragons, bears or wolves?
-> dragons if they are more dragon than human, bears otherwise
4) Would you rather vacation at a resort or in a secluded cabin?
-> as a regular thing the cabin, as a one-time thing the resort
5) Which retelling do you prefer: fairytale, ghost or scary stories?
-> I love warped fairy tale retellings. Dark, funny, adventure, romance, urban fantasy... doesn't matter I read them all!
6) Angels or Demons?
-> do you even have to ask? Demons!
7) Tea or coffee? Wine or beer? Still or sparkling?
-> tea, wine, still

BJ (barbararhodes) | 21 comments I too am happiest when I have a book in my hand, For this or that - ebook or hardcopy?

I am a devoted kindle user, and I've read most genres, but I mostly read fantasy, paranormal and historical romance.

You two missed out the fun in answering all the questions! I'm not one for games in group threads, but I must admit this one tickled me!

Ebook for me! I'm devoted to my very battered and bruised Kobo Glo (which is still working even though it is literally falling apart at the corners!) which I really need to replace quite soon I think! I do listen to a handful of audios and some paper copies (mostly from the library) but otherwise, I'm a digi fan through and through.

Linda (lizzle_lin) | 6 comments happy or bittersweet ending?

kittykat AKA Jo Tortitude | 137 comments Linda wrote: "happy or bittersweet ending?"

To play devils advocate here, it depends on the book... and bittersweet can also be happy too!

Please, do you have Would You Rather for us?

kittykat AKA Jo Tortitude | 137 comments Oops, sorry! Got sidetracked...

I'll repost my previous ones as they didn't get answered.

Tea or coffee?
Wine or beer?
Still or sparkling?

Tea or coffee? - coffee during the day, and tea in the evening
Wine or beer? - wine anytime - never beer
Still or sparkling?"
still wine on my own - sparking wine with friends and family

Tea & Coffee, beer, still.

Would you rather read a series or a standalone?

kittykat AKA Jo Tortitude | 137 comments Kiersten wrote: "Tea & Coffee, beer, still.

Ooooooh, that's hard as I love both.

Unless I can binge an entire series in order then standalone.

I guess I'll answer the same question. I love a series if I know the author. If the author is new to me, I pick a standalone.

My question: Reading has been outlawed! (Gasp!) The only place you can get away with it is a gross public bathroom not patrolled by the regime. Would you rather read in a public bathroom or never read again? (Tee hee - evil question)

message 36: by SJ (last edited May 04, 2021 09:36AM) (new)

SJ | 12 comments - Inside during rain
- In bed
- If there aren’t a lot of people on the beach than the beach but if the beach is loud/crowded than the library.
- I can’t decide between shifters and vampires. They are both amazing when written well.
- Dragos has spoiled me. Dragons for sure.
- Resort so I can get room service.
- Anything even remotely related to a fairy tale, I will read.
- I usually don’t see one without the other so both. (Angels and Demons)
- Tea, wine and sparkling
- Series
- Read in a gross public bathroom. Reading is worth the sacrifice.

My Question:
Male POV, female POV or both?
